Like to say it was great seeing everyone I don't get to see often, and to the new folks I met today. Had a great time and would like to thank AL for the leg work he did puting this together for all of us.
Once we got under way after Sis Ann's tire went flat and it was fixed, once again my back started burning like it was on fire. Still not sure why it happens and some times it doesn't. But with not knowing how much more we were going to be driving? When I saw the I-95 exit going north I pulled off and came home.
Once again thanks AL for everything, Sis you need new tires and I hope everyone had fun and got home safe and sound.

I had fun despite the rain and the flat... speaking of, Lonnie and Jimmy, how is my tire fund coming along?
I didn't see this thread so I attached my pictures to the original thread.
John, thanks for leading the way up to Lauderdale and a special thanks for changing my tire... you are a doll. Sorry I didn't get to say goodnight to you and Pasta. Ya'll snuck away... We're used to Mike doin' that though.
Nice to meet soooo many new Florida Fanatics. I hope ya'll join us again.
Great to see our very much missed Paul and Sandee too.

I "sho nuff" would haved liked to have been there.
I know ya'll had a Great Time.
BTY: small hijack
Ya'll need to come to Daytona a few days earlier most especially since the
"fine Fanatic ole southern boy x- C@%, hugger, from down there over there who's mostly Baptist, looking good, friendly, and has a OK Lady who owns a 6 speed which he gets to drive"
used his speaking skills to the MAX and negotiated an outstanding deal for his Florida Fanatic Loved Ones and Friends for that special weekend in October in Daytona Florida.

Had a great time today. Thanks again Al for all the foot work you do in getting us together. One fine set of people, these SSR people. And happy birthday Jim. Thanks for sharing your birthday cake with us. . . .
Sorry I didn't get to say goodnight to you and Pasta. Ya'll snuck away... We're used to Mike doin' that though.
Sure do something one time and your black balled. But its cool starting new job Monday and not having week ends off, its going to be a long time before I'll be making anymore of these cool SSR group gathering. Unless I find a job with week ends off. But bills must be paid. Ann look I'm>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> sneaking off again.

Pasta Mike..
That sure is the truth. Like a family reunion, with a bunch of new family thrown in. Sorry we didn`t get to visit with you more, Mike. I was hoping to catch up on all the recent happenings and talk to Mom some, too.

Great talking to you and getting to know you a little better, John. Like you said, the BBQ was great, but when Al picks a food spot, we have to expect that.
The weather??? Sandee and I were laughing as we were driving through the flood, about this being an adventure, which it so often is when Fanatics get together. Anne & I got left behind at the get-go. When we went through the tunnel, we both reved our engines and could hear each other, and of course, laughed our fool heads off doing it. Great fun!! Even if we were playing catch up in a monsoon during Ft. Lauderdale rush hour traffic.

Thanks Sweety !! We miss Ya`ll Too !! Glad this move is almost behind us, so we can be with you`uns more.
That flat tire was a warning from God. Coulda been bad if a blow out happened at speed. Get`m replaced, we love ya....
Had a super good time, as usual when Fanatics get together. Can`t say enough about how much it meant to see folks we haven`t seen in months. Thanks Al for the organization, and thanks Kathy for the birthday cake and coffee. Jim, I know this is a birthday you won`t forget.
Concrat's Gang, Glad everyone had a good time!
Your SSR Ambassadors are second to none.
Al and Annie always do a good job!
I heard some rumblings about Fireing Annie because of the flat tire thing, or maybe it was something else.
Anyway, she can't be fired because she excepted my offer for her to Serve as SSR Ambassador.
Annie may have thought it was another type of serves but she excepted anyway.
Our weather on the West Coast was not much better and we only had 6 brave SSR's come to Quaker Steak, but, like you we had a great time.
As Paul and Sandy said, "It is always like a Family Reunion".

Well, we got home safely. Mike and Marilyn stopped by for a visit (we had invited them to stay with us for the night). It's probably a good thing that they opted to go home because we had a bit of a rough night.
I am under the doctor's care for a cough I've had since we got back from Route 66. Well, last night I had a big coughing fit and started to cough up blood. Needless to say, we got a little "concerned". We called the doctor, who told us to go to the emergency room. They fitted me with an IV (in 3 places cause my veins collapsed), oxygen, & blood pressure cuff. They took an X-ray, CT scan, & EKG. They gave me a respiratory treatment, cough suppressant, pain reliever, and steroid. After all that, I am relieved to say the diagnosis is acute bronchitis. Hey, at least it is cute. Anyway, we did not get home until 7 this morning and we are both exhausted. But I am curable so that is a plus.

My Gosh Linda.....good thing you went to the ER. Just what you needed to bring it on, riding around in a monsoon. We had no idea you even felt bad. So glad it`s gonna be OK. Sure enjoyed seeing you and Pete after all these months, we miss you guys. I`d offer help, but I know Pete wouldn`t hesitate if ya`ll needed us. We love ya........P&S
Now we wonder if our visit had something to do with Linda getting sick? I thought she liked us!!! Hope she is well soon. Wish we had stayed so we could have been there to get Pete through it. Get well soon, Linda. We love you. Marilyn & Mike
Mike and I had a wonderful time yesterday seeing all you SSR folks. We are glad we drove down from Orlando even though we had bad weather. Lately, all the SSR people have discovered they have windshield wipers and tops that do go up. Enjoyed meeting the new guys and hope they become a part of us over the next few months. As soon as we figure out how to put the pictures on the website (Linda gave us a lesson last night), we will forward them to you all. Thanks again Linda and hope you are well soon!! See everyone soon. Marilyn & Mike
By the way, Ann (waysouth), we have another set of tires on rims if you need some! (you seem to need them pretty often).
