Well, it didn't go well at Stingray Chevy Show. Although I had spoken to the organizers who were running the Show, Tampa Bay Corvette Club, about two weeks ago and they assured me they would put us all together, there was NO room for the SSR's.

They had said for us to come in as a group, like meet at Denny's, which we did. I called them about 2hrs before the show and they again said they would have parking for us. THEY DID NOT!

So, we got PRUNES but we made LEMONADE!

The Stingray Staff, who were not responsible for the Show, made arrangements for us at the Local Lakeland Airport Restaurant for us to meet and have lunch as a group. Justin, Service Manager for Stingray, told them his VIP customer's were coming and to please make arrangements. THEY DID!

And we all had a GREAT TIME!

WHAT DICK DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE IS THAT HE HAD 3 DEFECTORS....WHO STAYED AT THE SHOW....GENE DECIDED TO SAY--I DECIDED TO KEEP GENE COMPANY AND TOM WAS SAMWICHED IN BETWEEN US AND COULDN'T LEAVE....THE THREE OF US HAD A GOOD VISIT AND IN THE END...TOM GOT AN AWARD FOR BEST TRUCK NON MODIFIED....I GOT AN AWAR FOR BEST TRUCK MODIFIED....THIS IS REALLY JEFF'S PLAQUE BECAUSE HAD HE STAYED HE SURELY WOULD HAVE BEEN THE SELECTEE....I WILL GIVE IT TO YOU JEFF NEXT TIME WE ARE TOGETHER....SO I GUESS LEMONADE WAS MADE AT TWO LOCATIONS....CHUCKSTR

Thanks Chuck, That was good news that you won some awards.

I noted that you said you were 'Sandwiched in". Only room for the three of you, there in was the problem, we had 12 more SSR's to "Sandwich in" to three spots. Or scatter all over the show, maybe.

I was told they were very sorry that it didn't work out, because we had more SSR's than they did Camaro's.

We all made Lemonade out of the day, as SSR Fanatics ALWAYS do.

Looks like everyone had a good time at the airport. I apologize for the happenings with the car show here, but you all made your own at the airport.
