I'm interested in many of the goodies listed. First a few of questions.
1. When do you think you'll have dates for either Titusville or Fort Lauderdale?
2. Of the items I'm interested in, how do I pay for them? Bring cash, send a check or what?
3. Is there a chance that Jeremy(Fasterproms) will be at either Titusville or Lauderdale for engine tuning?
4. I'm happy to do the work on my own SSR but will there be people there to help or at least supervise us that have never done any of these installs before?
On to the list of goodies I want. Since you have them numbered, I'll just put down the numbers of the items I want. Items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Mirrors not Mole skin, 6, 12, 13. Let me know how to pay, and them money will be there.
Thanks Dick,
Marty (Phantom Guy)

Martin, With a list like that, Tech Day will be mostly yours!
Only kidding. Of course we will be there to instruct you, that is why it is Tech Day. Alex, Jeff Hanover and others with experince will be helping also.
Money? Bring Cash or Check.
I need to get some restocking done and Mike in AZ said the radiator supports are 5 weeks out, so Tech Day will not be until after I receive my material.
Sounds great Dick, I'll bring cash since cash is king. The ignition switch is just to have an extra, mine is working fine so far.(knock on wood) Anything on Jeremy? I'm interested in getting his tune along with the polished throttle body and intake all at the same time as doing the installs of the other items.
Thanks for everything,
Marty

Dicktator,
I'm doing some work on my '06 R and am wondering what is under the black rubber on the running boards? I heard everything from just molded plastic like the black rubber, to a cavity. Can you enlighten me please. Thanks, Jim

It's just more running board, however, the grooved pattern is in the running board, not just in the plastic.
Dicktator,
I favor the July session in Titusville. I need bed struts and radiator support. Your help with these sessions is tremendous. Thank you. John Matson

My SSR: 2006 Black over Silver, a 06 Black & Chrome 3 pedal, and a 04 Ultra Violet driver...
Titusville, FL.
Is the seafood resturant, Dixie Crossroads still in business. We have eaten there at least 15 times in the last 20 years. We would have a Harley Group Ride during bike week from Daytona down A1A to eat rock shrimp.
The last 2 times there, we swore we would never return. Seems the owner past away and someone else was running (it down)...
I'll take a shift cable repair kit too. Don't need it now but if (when) it breaks I want to have it to install my self. I may have a source for the rad mount. George, who lives near Titusville, has one he bought from you and I might get it from him. Waiting on his reply. I'll let you know.
Thanks Again,
Marty

Hi Dick...Hope your doimg well...
Dick, what's the shift cable repair kit all about...I've been to a couple of your Tech Days, bought allmost everything for the R, but I don't remember ever talking about this item...
Thanks again,
John (Foot)
Ah,ha, My Friend a new minor problem we discovered by GM.
They used a rubberized clip to hold the shift cam in place. Each time you shift it moves the rubber clip. Being exposed to movement and heat, it dries out and begins to disintegrate. Then it FALLS OFF! You can't shift, oh, you can move the shift lever but the tranny is still in the position it was when the clip falls off.
Howard, Bad Black SSR, said he was 8 miles from home when his fell off. Called tow truck and over to Stingray Chevy.
NOTE: You have to buy the WHOLE cable in order to get the rubber clip. Something like, $76.00 bucks, plus tow and labor, of course.
Jeff's, broke in his drive, we saw a fix by RedHot2004, improved on it, at least we think we did, and came up with our Florida Fix.

Dick,
Is this something which can or should be done as a preventive fix? Does the old piece fall out of that black fitting on the cable or does it need to be drilled or ground out?

BlueStreak,
Good question, I should have taken a picture of the shift arm we removed.
On the transmission end, the arm has a square hole, held on w/15mm nut. We removed the nut and arm, then ground of the head of the Cam that was pressed into the shift arm. The Cam, as the picture shows has the rubber clip that holds in into the shift cable.
I would say, next time on a lift for oil change, CHECK THE CAM/RUBBER CLIP.
