We are putting a Tech Day together in Melbourne, Fl. Graftybeth, Mark, and OctagonMan, Raul, have picked the date of March 27/28th....there are hotels close by on 1-92 in Melbourne for those who want to stay over.
The plan is for the 27th spilling over to Sun 28th- Dinner at our house Sat Nite (Beth/Mark's House). We've decided to do Italian (my specialty) Lasagna, Garlic bread and Antipasto Salad for everyone attending...anyone with special needs dietarily should pm me in advance.
We will provide soda, sweet tea and coffee, folks can bring any other beverages (except for Dicktator's Capt. Morgan's!)
You could cruise from Daytona to the Tech Day Location.
We will be installing Mirrors, Third "Blinking" brake light, Steel radiator supports, cross member and soundproofing.

Hey guys, Its actually 'Craftybeth' and I'm the one you should pm if there are any special dietary needs as I'll be doing the cooking!!! I'll get together more info about the hotels on 1-92 in Melbourne which is just down the road from us. We've obtained the loan of a garage with a lift for the two days, so work should go by faster. Sorry we clashed with Daytona but it was the only time we could get the garage.
Ps: Brave souls can bring swimsuits, tho We don't usually use our pool til May

Not sure about the time for shopping, & just to let everybody know, come on by for food & fun even if you don't need to work on your 'R'...I don't know how to cook for small crowds!!! More the merrier!

What choices are there for hotel accomidations close by?
As we plan on staying Friday night and probably Saturday night, (too tired from all the watching) can someone provide/recommend a decent hotel close by. Just clean and reasonably priced.

and less than five miles from our house and 7 miles from the Tech day site. They have plenty of rooms

Depending on the work schedule for Saturday and Sunday I would Drive up either on Friday or Saturday and Stay in the Hotel until Sunday or Monday
