Zephyrhills Autofest car show
Does any one want to go ?
We usually go in our 1959 Impala as the car show is for cars 20 years or more older. However I have spoken to the organiser today and got approval for SSR's to attend even though he was not really sure what an SSR is, time for education ! The dates are November 8 9 10 11, we can go on Saturday or Sunday although you can go for both days.
There is car show, auction swap meet, car corral, vendors, car racing and other stuff, check out the web site;
Brian, looks like a lot of fun, I will be there but riding with a friend in a pick up as we are serching for Rod parts and need the hauling capacity. Also going to the Turkey run for the same things - parts for rods we are building I will look for the SSR's...
My SSR: 2004 UV with flames #10443 (BOD: 05-24-04), 2005 "Sinister SSR"#19055 (BOD: 12-09-04)
We usually go to Zephyrhills if Lonnie is off (rotating schedule - 4days on/4 days off) - they hold it in November and February, it's about a 20 minute drive for us.
We will definitely be at Turkey Rod Run - that has been our "Thanksgiving Tradition" for about the past 10 years. We'll be driving Sin, and maybe taking a car up to the Car Corral too - we were able to enter Sin last year as a Custom, will do the same this year.

My wife and I were there and tried to wait to meet you but! We did write down the info on your book, it looked interesting and I will try to get a copy. We will be at the Turkey Run. We will have the SSR and our 89 Dodge Dakota convertible in the car Coral to sell. Maybe we can meet there.
Thanks,

Had a great time meeting Chuck and Brian for dinner - laughed so much I could hardly eat . Can't wait to meet Chuck's new friend - we Floridians will take good care of him if he'll hang out and tell us all his stories! And can you believe we were standing around Bs-ing after dinner and a professional photographer said she was returning from a shoot and could she take some pics of our trucks? YES!! Of course we made her sign a royalties contract first.

Hi Chuck,
Sold my Dakota today so we can just drive up the SSR. This will make going a lot easier! We will be at Daytona car show on Thursday and Friday and heading back on Saturday. So we might not meet. We can try again, I am sure, at another car show.
Take care and enjoy,
Art

TURKEY RUN IS NEXT WEEKEND BEGINNING THURSDAY=ENDING SUNDAY=AT THE DAYTONA SPEEDWAY....LONNIE WILL BE THERE WITH SIN-I WILL BE THERE ALL DAY SATURDAY WITH A 57 BELAIR...ANYONE PASSING THROUGH THE ORLANDO AREA CAN CONTACT ME AT 407-699-5920 JUST TO SAY HI.... CHUCKSTR-ART I WILL BE THERE 0700 SAT MORNING-IF NOT THERE THEN MAYBE 2 DEC KIDS TRUCK SHOW AT OLD TOWN KISSIMMEE---
For those who have never been to the Thanksgiving Turkey Run car show at Daytona Beach, Fl at the raceway, the car show has over 5,000 show cars and at lease 1,000 cars in the car coral plus a huge swap meet area. It the best car show we have ever been to and we go each year. It opens Thanksgiving day morning and runs through Sunday. I would suggest getting there early other wise your in for a long line and wait. Each evening they have a unofficial car coral/show at the Belair Plaza on Atlantic ave(A1A). You need to see it to believe it, it's a lot of fun!!
