Question 6.0 Supercharged?

Hi. I know I have posted random questions before on my search for an SSR, so here comes another (hopefully a little more challenging than how to haul a fridge....) did the 6.0 come with a supercharger as an option? I am looking at an '05 in Las Vegas that the dealer told me had a "factory supercharger" and that is was "pushing 600 horsepower." Could either of these statements be true?

Cars for Sale: 2005 Chevrolet SSR in Henderson, NV 89014: Truck Details - 308246337 - AutoTrader.com

There's a link to the listing. Any help or clarity on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again! You guys are the best!

No, there was no supercharger option on any SSR, ever.

I have done extensive mods on my '06 SSR (Hellvis), including a Magnacharger, cam, headers, exhaust, gears, on and on, and it dynos right at 600 RWHP in cold weather. I sincerely doubt that the SSR you're considering has all the mods necessary to achieve "pushing 600 HP", probably more like 450-500.

That said, this is a low mileage truck with a 'Charger, the asking price is less than it would cost to install a new blower.

Get 'em down around $ 25 K, you'll be very happy at that price, assuming the truck is in great shape.

Never an option. A guy that owned a 2004 UV once told me that he had the supercharger installed before he took delivery but even then he could not claim it as a factory item.
"Factory supercharger" - ask him which factory!

Aside from the supercharger not being a factory option, the ad is a bit off. Description has this as a black truck, photos are of a yellow, and no mention or photos taken under the hood. Seems odd that they wouldn't promote the supercharger.

Although not factory, I was offered to have a maggie put on my truck through my dealership when I purchased it. They would have warrantied it and let me put it on the financing. Sooooo.... it could be the same deal - just a poor choice of wording.

Yes,I regret not doing it...

I noticed the ad said it was black as well. I called them first without seeing pics and then found out that it was a yellow. In the pics I did get an underhood shot...You guys see anything odd?

I am probably showing my ignorance here....but on the passenger side there appears to be two overflo holders. The one closest to the firewall is radiator...what is the one in front of it for?

It is for the supercharger intercooler coolant. The intercooler is under the supercharger.
