Maybe Cash (our internal SSR CIA man) will have some input on this.

Is that a typo in the heading?

If not, a 7.0 is a serious modification. I'd love to know more about it if it's really been done.

This was in my link.

http://www.ssrfanatic.com/forum/429627-post1.html

Says 412 CID which if 364 CID equals 6L this should be about 6.8L.
427 CID would be a full 7L.

I was thinking someone had transplanted a Z06 engine. If so, pretty major electronic challenges. Would have been a good build to document.

For what it's worth. This sounds like a stroker motor with a .030 overbore a straight stroker crank would get you to 402 cid then the bore would bring you the rest of the way to 412cid.

The 412 is a somewhat common combo - 4.100" stroke crank with the stock LS2 bore gets you the mentioned 412 cu. in. Personally I don't like anything over 4.0" stroke in a production block because of the cylinder wall length.

Someone took my idea about putting a 7.0 litre in an SSR. I think that would be a great idea.If I had the money to do it thats what I would do.
