Afternoon visit to Mike in AZ
Dave and I drove the ZR1 over to pick up a Weatherguard Cover and air dam from Mikey. Got some other things for the while we were there. Mikey and Dave took the ZR1 for a spin.
HEY DEB...........I know what MIKEY wants for CHRISTMAS
BTW, Mikey is about the nicest, most genuine person I have ever met. Always a pleasure to visit with him.

After coming home from a 10 minute "spin" (I won't tell how far or how fast) I went immediately in and told Debbie that she needed to come out and see what I want for Christmas in 2012....... She never even looked me in the eye when she said . The only hope I have is to get one in her favorite color (black). A lot of and some really behavior might get me the from the love in my life, but the $$$ is prohibitive.

Hey..... you haven't got much room to talk there buddy.
Here's the truth:
I had initially told Dave and Jeff that I didn't need to take it for a test drive. (I knew what would happen.....) And I held my ground pretty well for a minute or so.... They pressed me just a little more and I folded like a cheap tent. Wow. It drives so much better than anything I've had my butt in... ever. GM really outdid themselves with the ZR-1.
I want to thank Jeff and Dave for insisting that I try it out a little. I knew better than to yank on it in first. Tested second in the midrange a little to find it breathtaking. Third gear WOT is a real blast. Fourth gear acceleration is incredible and the supercharged LS-9 really feels "linear" in the enourmous amount of torque sent through the rear wheels. The traction control makes that vehicle a wonderful experience. Braking from the upper end of fourth gear was fantastic and the steering was spot-on and precise at all speeds.
OMG - I gotta have one.
Remember when we were telling our kids to "just say NO to drugs"???? Well, this is even worse. If you don't want to get hooked, don't get in one...... cuz oncew you do, you are definitely gonna want more.
Thanks again guys for letting me have a spin. I hope Debbie will tolerate me for the next few weeks, while I quietly daydream of schemes to get one of these..... in BLACK.
Regards,
Mikey

Same care as the rest of the car, never dry with a towel - use the master blaster, and apply Zaino as often as your back permits. Hood and majority of the body is made out of carbon fiber.
Mikey, (ZR1) this is the little (ZR1) voice in your (ZR1) head, saying (ZR1) you don't need (ZR1) a ZR1 (ZR1) and you don't believe in (ZR1) subliminal messaging (ZR1).....

Sometimes it's easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission Mikey..... You can blame it on your advancing age.....
She can't stay mad at you forever, can she?
I won't even go there........ I only know of one person that bought a vehicle without getting permission first.... and is still married. He's really lucky.
Besides..... Debbie already said no.... it's not a matter of claiming ignorance - - she knows I have that one covered. It's a matter of not believing how serious she was.

Yes, i am an extremely lucky, and loved husband, and still happily married.
But would certainly welcome a visit by Jeff & Dave over here.

I have lost count of the ones Greg has bought over the years. When he tells me he is thinking of buying something, the deal is done and he'll be bringing it home that evening. But I can say he has always let me have what I've wanted to drive.
