HI big-daddy,

I believe that the 2006 accessories won't be availabe for sale until after they are officially released for production. In other words not until the 2006 production is in full swing. They typically offer them first on dealer orderd SSRs. Once the supply is caught up with the assembly plants demands then they will start to fill the pipe line to the dealerships and other after market sales.

Ps. They might release them earlier if production quotas are slow.

Here's the soft bags - just put 'em in last weekend - love 'em. Back doesn't look like a junk closet any more. Yeah, and I know there's scratches on my truck bed - hauling garden supplies for Ms Houtex. Well - it IS a truck.

So, if I want a redline red cluster, I buy a redline 05 and an chrome 03/4. Swap some bits, and hawk the 05 on e-bay.

Not that I actually desire a gauge cluster.

It's been a while since anyone has brought up the subject of an all wheel drive version to be introduced possibly near the end of the '06 model year. Does anybody know anything about this? Is the idea even being seriously addressed?

That's about the only change that would make me consider "trading up". Otherwise, I'll just hang on to my early '03 and spread out my depreciation beating over several more years.

I like the new assortment of colors, but that gauge package seems pretty expensive. I think I'd pick a set up if they were maybe half the price.

I saw a new SSR at a Harley event that was being displayed, and the interior was carpeted on all sides so was the bed lid?? Is this available as a kit? I didn't want the bed with the color matching rails though, I use it too much for that, but I really wanted the bed lid! It's made of the same material the New "Fuzzy" DashMats that I have are!

I have a 2004 Red SSR. It is only 3 mos. old, second owner. I just had the temp reach 260 when I was on the highway going from 65 down to 25 due to an accident.....as well as 20 min before, speedometer was acting up and then dropped down past zero. GM Dealership said it was the cooling fan - and then I need a new speedometer (due to the cluster) - he mentioned that they have had problems with the clusters in other trucks. Anyone experiencing anything like that?

got my storage container last week part # 17800245 looks great and was able to put all
my stuff in and still have room - has ssr sewn on both sides of container- it folds down
flat when not in use- should be able to buy for about $125 from dealer

Do you have your license frame mount too high. I had a friend that had the same problem and his license frame was blocking the radiator intake.

Will the Yellow 05 gauge pkg go on my 04? Hope so I told the dealer to order it with the soft sample bags. If it doesn't do I have to order the brushed ones.hope not!!

05 will NOT work in the 04. Gauges are different.

First, I went into the dealer today and ordered the soft sadle bag (bags).I already have the hard ones but can not use them. He told me it was $293 and there is only one (1) bag for that. I was sure I was told on the site they can in 2's, for that amount. Do they? Second , the dealer is putting on at their cost a set of gauges on my new 04. They ordered the yellow ones that show for o5 and newer but the said the can install them with no problem. True??? sandy

Make sure they install the gages correctly and not cut too much carpet and not fold the carpet back blocking the floor vents. They cut too much of my carpet and now have to make it right, whatever that means

I have three sets of 04 gauges here. Don't ask. Dealer screwup.

The last set came with a set of 05 instructions.

I'll bet that the housings are the same and all you have to do is change out the gauge sets. maybe they will take the gauges out of an 04 housing and swap them into an 05 yellow housing.

I had a temperature problem when I first picked up my '05..........seems the car blew a fuse to the cooling fan.....fairly common, according to the dealer. The cars run hot generally.

My 03 ... at 36K miles so far,
I've had my speedometer replaced, overheated several times and had cooling fan(something) replaced, stereo replaced two times. They removed the dash soo many times that the passenger side air bag cover became loose so it too was replaced. drive shaft was replaced -- its time to replace it again (ting noise came back) I am hearing a rattling noise at speeds over 75 but no one can tell me what it is. My hard top squicks when opening. For that matter, the whole car squicks now. I sure am glad I have an extended warrantee. Currently, my 03 is at the dealer for the Nth time. My engine light came on???.

Everyone around is telling me to get rid of the car but I can't. I don't know why.
I would like to trade up to 06 but the resale value is sh.......

I guess I am stuck
