Anyone in SoCal with a hitch?

Okay I'll just put this out there and if it doesn't happen, I'll know I shouldn't even try it...I'm thinking about entering both the SSR and my '67 Camaro in the Cruise In in Williams, AZ this weekend. I live 6 hours from Williams, but it's SO worth the drive (especially when it's 115* where I live). I'm contemplating whether it would work to rent a tow dolly and pull the Camaro with the SSR and here's where the problem is: I don't own a hitch or wiring harness. So I'm wanting to find out if there's anyone in SoCal (HOPEFULLY) within 2 hours or so of 92281 who would be willing to lend me their hitch/harness for the weekend. Of course I've never towed anything with the SSR, so I don't even know if this setup is adviseable. I have Mike in AZ's main fan and auxiliary fan, and I don't know what the total weight of the Camaro and tow dolly combined would be, but I do know that the temperature will be over 100* for at least half the trip, plus a few steep grades along the way. Any thoughts anyone? If it just won't work, I either won't go, or I'll use my truck and a flatbed to haul the Camaro up there. Thanks in advance y'all!

Wish I had known. We're more than 2 hours from you but on Sunday we were a bit closer. Surely there is someone in San Diego area that will be willing to loan you their's. Good luck with your entry.

Add your own Flat 4 connector to this harness here behind the drivers wheel on the frame rail.

Way more weight than the hitch is rated for.

Thanks for the replies, everyone...I guess I was under the impression from some of what I read here that the only limiting factor on the towing was really the heat factor: that the engine compartment was too tight for good airflow, so overheating is a problem when towing more than 2500 lbs. (within reason, of course). I was just thinking that since most of the weight of the car was going to be on the ground rather than on the hitch, I'd be okay. Faulty reasoning?
