Cash... What can you tell me about my SSR

I got a real kick out of what you found out on Askani's potential R. If it's not asking too much, can you tell me a little about mine (I have a build sheet, but none of that good stuff you found on his). 2006 PB 3SS Vin# 1GCES14H66B121599. Hope I'm not asking for too much of your time/efforts.

Good 'ol Blue

Hey Robby. Thanks, glad you got a charge out of that.
Not every story can be as interesting as Askani's.
However your SSR was owned by some folks in Blairsville PA. I spoke with the owner several times but honestly I work on an Excel program and have a pretty tough time keeping everything in order and remembering all that was said.
I am pretty sure they were first time owners. I actually put the deal together from Ray to North Freeway, who you purchased it from.
That is pretty much all I know. The rest of this is just accumulated data.
I am working on this stuff constantly, trying to break it down further but:

Pacific Blue - 532 total built, only in MY2006
145 FPR - 387 non FPR
423 automatic - 109 6sp
227 with VYJ chrome pkge -305 w/o VYJ chrome pkge

You are #56 of 532
Pacific Blue is the most rare of the solid colour SSR builds.

I've got other data but it becomes a bit ridiculous sorting them out.
Hope this is of interest.

Thank you Cash. Actually that was cool. I used to live in PA, and I'm know just a little about Blairsville. As far as uniqueness go's, I'm good on that part. Being in rural SE Texas, most folks assume it's a one-off custom job, and are really suprised when I point out all the chevy logo's. Even had one today asking me about why he couldn't find it listed in consumer reports. I explained it's been 6 years since they made any and he was completely floored. He thought (like several others) that is was a 2012/13 model.

Have to tell you; I've wanted an SSR for years. I'm sure I could have fanagled and bartered for a better price from a private seller, but I'm a business professional, and I highly value my time. I made two phone calls, rescheduled the appointment once, and still got the deal done and delivered on a Wed night, home by 11pm (2 hr drive) and with the appropriate perma-grin applied to my face. One of the better sales experiences I've had in my life.

I still own and daily drive my '93 Grand Prix GT having bought it new, for life. Good 'ol Blue will be in the family for a long, long time. May or may not mod the R, but one thing's for sure, this very average guy has found a very fun way to remain a little unique. How about it... do I qualify as a "Fanatic"?

Anyone with the excellent taste and good judgement to purchase one of the cooler vehicles around certainly qualifies as an SSR Fanatic. Enjoy it and get ready for the onslaught of compliments and questions.

And don't forget to get together with your "local" Texas Fanatics for Breakfast or Lunch once in a while. They are a wonderful bunch.

You bet I will BlueStreak. I missed them this month, but I'm sure I can make the next one.
