Chevrolet Warranty Claims

I've noticed in the last few visits to my local service department that they are considering "warranty" issues in a different light. It appears to me that the current economy has driven the service departments to put things under factory warranty that in the past they would have discouraged or denied.

The previous owner of my SSR tried to get the gas struts replaced, cup holder replaced, drivers side door panel replaced, and in one visit I am getting all taken care of under warranty. My service writer said they are encouraged to write warranty claims.
