One of the major Detroit newspapers (the apparent bad one) has come out with the 10 best Chevys over the last 100 years. The SSR was missing from their list so I made my own top 100 Chevys of all time list.

1. 2004 Slingshot Yellow SSR
2. 2005 Slingshot Yellow SSR
3. 2006 Slingshot Yellow SSR
4. 2003 Slingshot Yellow SSR
5. Any color SSR from 2003 to 2006
6. Any SSR that has parts on it purchased from people on this site.
7. Any SSR that has been Magnacharged.
8. Any SSR with over 100 miles on it.
9. Any SSR that has an owner with a puppy
10. Any SSR that has been involved in the Woodward Cruise.

Our local paper had an advertising supplement (sponsored by the local Chevy dealers). Unbelievably, the SSR did not make the "dozen coolest Chevy cars of all time" OR the "dozen coolest Chevy trucks of all time" lists.

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

The SSR's grandpa, the 1948 pickup, did make the list, though.

Chevrolet was founded by GM founder, Billy Durant and Louis Chevrolet who was a race driver who came to America from France.

My local dealer has stuff set up for the party. There's a tent right on the front corner of their lot and under it are an '03 SSR and '95 Impala SS! In their showroom are even more cool old Chevys - mostly trucks.
