Close Call

Many of you may had read about the tornados that hit middle Ga Sunday morning. We made it through Ok, but many areas near us are devastated.
I had a very personal scare with my R. It is at the shop having rear pinion seal replaced and Mike's differential cover installed. i was supposed to pick it up Friday, but have been in bed with a kidney infection. Went over to check on it this morning and the buildings around the shop were torn apart, the shop with my R is an old, ragged metal building and the overhead doors were blown out and my r was still up on the lift, as it was through out the storm, but no damage to the inside of the building or the truck. If I had known it was up on the lift during the storm, I would have gone nuts

Wow! Luckily it didn't fall off. That would have finished it off for sure.

Thumbs up

It's good to know you are okay and
that your SSR was not damaged either.

Hope you are feeling better and that kidney thing is not life threatening. That is a neat story about your R. Had I known it was on the lift my vision would see it hanging by one tire. You are blessed.

Just glad you're safe, Big Daddy. NauticalDave would probably chime in that that's what insurance is for. Hope everybody in that garage is safe, too! Sounds like they may have had to depart in a rush.

Hope you're feeling better soon. And that your health wasn't affected by the Tail of the Dragon run - I think everybody who went on that had a great time!

Take care of yourself.

Hey George, Certainly do hope you're about over the Kidney problem by now. Glad the "R" is OK but most of all that you & Ms. Joanne along with our other friends & neighbors faired pretty good despite all the destruction. Had 2 trees down at the Homes next door & accross the street & a little bit of damage around Town here in W/R. Which Shop was doing the repairs ? I'll be in Macon Sat. evening at the Ramada(old Holiday Inn)at I/475-Eisenhower then at the Masonic Home Sunday for our Alumni Homecoming Wknd. so I'll see some of it closeup. I'm the outgoing Pres. for 07/08 yr. but will probably maintain the Sec./Trsr. Let me know if I can Help - Brother!!!!!
