I put a lot of effort into tracking wrecked SSR's and find it extremely frustrating when I get so close but ultimately fail,
as with the above example that has just been posted.
It seems they attach VINs to about 50% of the wrecks but I have been unable to find a way to extricate the VINs for the balance. I have left numerous messages to no avail.
If anyone has access, please let me know, and if privacy is of concern, please PM me.
Also, if anyone wants to try extricating a picture from this example and is successful, please let me know the method.
They come out as postage stamps that totally blur when I try to expand them.

From looking at those pictures ... it look like it needs both left & right fender from ZZR, a hood from MPD, a Kaminari bumper cover, some know how and it should be up and running.

Ya Ya Ya, not quite the point I was trying to make. I realize that one says repairable but it is still a salvage title and I would like to add it to the salvage list. I realize it isn't a Junk title. I am more referring to others I keep missing as they go through auction, some very obviously beyond repair. I added another link.

Wow, I'm doing something wrong. When I save the picture it is small and will not expand.
I just tried to save one of these that you posted. I right click, save as, name it and place in folder.
I go find it, locate it fine, click to expand, and it blurs, the same as what happens when I initally save them from the CoPart site.
I must admit, I am not very good at this but, usually I can fudge my way around.
If you think this is an easy fix, PM me.

Can't really offer any help. I did it like you just described. Mine come up clear. I can try to email if you'd like to try.

Did you right click when the picture was small? If so, left click on the picture. It will expand. Then right click and save as.

Another way that works just fine (on the example link you gave) is to right-click the thumbnail (small picture) and then click Save link as... NOT Save image as... This will save the full-size image where ever you direct it.
I clipped and expanded the picture that shows the windshield.
I can't get it much bigger but the point is that I think the serial number is written on the windshield in red grease pencil. We might be able to get it from there.

Now where is CSI when we need them...

On some of those I was able to expand the windshielld and the number had no thing to do with the VIN which was also posted. I don't think it is worth the effort to try and figure out what is on this windshield. My $.02

Cash,
1- go to the link and click on the camera, that will bring up all the thumbnails.
2- click on the thumbnail to see the big picture.
3- right click and save the big picture.

Sorry guys, been away from my computer. I will try and absorb some of the advice here. And Blue Streak is correct.
I have never seen an example where there was any correlation to the hand written numbering to the actual VIN.
This is not to say it can't happen though.
That "check credentials" shows up every once in a while. I just back completely out and try again and it usually works.
Thanks guys. I'll try another go at it tomorrow.
Just saw your note Bruce. That looks like something even I can figure out. Good directions!

That only works as long as the link is good. Once they change their listing, you're screwed.

Thanks chuckster, received your PM and replied.
If I was ever able to get hold of CoPart, I may have approached on the premise of wanting to run a build sheet, therefor required VIN.
It does not seem unreasonable that a potential bidder should have that opportunity.
I can see no (moral/ethical/legal) reason for secreting the VIN.
