Question Could Wikipedia be right?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_SSR

"For the 2006 model year, the LS2 engine featured minor modifications that boosted its output to 400 hp (automatic transmission) and 405 hp (manual transmission), respectively".

Interesting find - I remember reading that a change in the manifold and a tweak of the tune with the manual shift provides 400 hp. Maybe we have a hotter ride than previously promoted

SSR on Wiki

Mike,

That's my SSR you see pictured on Wikipedia. Sitting in my driveway last summer.

I wondered about the HP rating myself and never changed it. I'm assuming it's correct. What does the 2006 owner's manual say?

Didn't they have a link to SSRFanatic.com as an external link at one time?

The 2006 sales broucher says 395 HP with Auto and 400 HP with 6 speed while the 2005 broucher says 390 HP. Torque went from 405 in 2005 to 400 in 2006 for some reason.

Edited Wikipedia

I have edited the Wikipedia information accordingly. Thanks!

Does anyone have accurate information on the 2006 models as to time to 60mph and time and speed for the 1/4 mile? Basically the same thing they have listed for the 2005 only for the 2006 model. I'll add that too if I can get it.

BTW, the links to the various forums got removed by an editor. Some guy had some commercial links to SSR signs that also got removed.
