Does your '05 have the Storage Tray?

Does your '05 have the Storage tray in the cargo compartment?
I thought all 2005's had the drop down tray in the tonneau lid but this is not the case.
Somewhere in the March-June 2005 time frame the tray was discontinued. MikeinAZ feels the change likely occurred sometime in April2005.
If your SSR was built in this time let us know if yours does or doesn't.

These are posts from another thread I have transferred.

From MikeinAZAs near as I have been able to determine, the change was made just before May of 2005. The ones built in early April do have the drop-down compartment. Trucks built in May don't.

From Moody BlueMine has the drop down lid

From Topspin
My 05 #20560 was built in March and I took delivery 4-7-05.
It doesn't have the drop down.

Moody is #14442 BOD 8.31.2004
You were almost a preemie Moody!

Cape Cod Blur, who had the thread about the tool kit he installed was an early 2005, BOD 10.29.2004.

Doophus was born the same day.
Interesting, I had never heard anything about the cargo net package before, but I think I can dispute that with my personal experience.
My first, #19215 BOD 12.13.2004 had the compartment tray but did not have the CTD cargo net pkge, nor does it show as ever having it on the Build Sheet.

This is not what you asked, but I'll throw it in. My '04 UV HAS the drop down storage. I use it to store my cargo net when not in use. (Born Jan. '04) Other '04's I have seen DO NOT have the drop down storage. One that I'm more familiar with also does NOT have running boards or saddlebags. Mine Does.

Please remember that all of the carpet kits that were sold after mid-2005 did not have the compartment in the lid covering. If there is a 2003-2004 without a drop-down compartment, it may have been an after-production installation..... We know of quite a few that have been sold since 2006.

Also noteworthy is the change from sewn-on velcro in the cargo compartment to no velcro in 2006. My 2005 had velcro sewn to the carpet for the strips to stick to and my 2006 does not. The BOD on my 2006 is August...... it was an early one. I personally liked the velcro better....... the strips really tear up the carpet when you lift them off.

Regards

From MikeinAZ
As near as I have been able to determine, the change was made just before May of 2005. The ones built in early April do have the drop-down compartment. Trucks built in May don't.

It seems possible around April 1 is the day. I don't have Topspins BOD but he says in March and it appears (although they do bounce around) 3.29.2005 would be a solid guess.
Hopefully we will get some more input from people with late March early April builds.
This is very speculative but it almost appears LCC may have been shut down in April or part of it.
In my files I show the BOD's cease at April 1 at about #20630 and #20650 is May 4, indicating there was indeed a shutdown for most of April, 2005.

I heard from Old Chief a while ago who told me he does not have the tray. His build was 3.23.2005 so it was deleted prior to this. I have a couple of Fanatics on file who were built earlier in March so I will follow up with them.

Thanks. Yours was likely built 10.12.2004.
It now appears to me the cutoff will likely be between the LCC January startup to the earliest confirmation of no storage tray built on 3.23.2005.

So between 12-13-04 and 1-28-05, taking out 2 days for Christmas and New Years, they only built 3.7 trucks a day.
