Door edge protector

Started spring cleaning and noticed door edge molding coming loose. Anyone have this problem and what type of glue did you use to correct? Trying to use something that if I take protector off paint won't come with it.

I didn't either, but I saw this piece sticking up and looked further and it runs down the edge of door. Coming loose at door handle.

Just peel it off and replace it. You can buy a whole roll of that stuff pretty cheap. It lasts about 6 yrs or more if properly applied. After removing just clean any remaining adhesive residue with paint thinner. Clean good with alcohol before applying new edge guard. Wear rubber gloves when putting it on or youll have fingerprints showing under it and it will eventually come loose where touched.
I have this on all my cars, great stuff and almost invisible. Can get it online, eBay, Eastwood or most auto paint supply stores. I bough a roll and did two four door cars and two two door and still have plenty left.

It is aftermarket. There was no door edge guard from the factory - at least none of my trucks had any.

It's a thick urethane film tape with adhesive, very stretchy and easy to apply.
