Another suggestion would be to check the closed auctions on Ebay. Not sure if there would be enough 03's to make any correlation or not.
My wife works off-duty security (she's a cop) at an auction here in MD, and she said there are 2 up there now. Don't think she has any way to access previous sales, but she might know someone who can. I'll check and let you know if she can.

Were those completed auctions for new 2003 vehicles that Danko could use his GM points for?
(just curious...what is a new prowler selling for now a days?)

DavidN, You are a seemingly valuable source of info. Now, this old fart (Hell, I can barely spell "PC", much less use one) wants a little help. When I go on eBay I do not see how to bring up sold vehicles to see what SSRs have sold for. Also, how do you know about the unsold Prowlers?

Put SSR in the search box and in the yellow column on the left under the Search Options there is a check box for completed items. select that, then press the Show Items button at the bottom. You must have registered with Ebay to use this option.

JMO.....
You make some very valid points up there ... being so close to this sometimes I may not see the obvious... perhaps the dealers will continue to have fire sales. For those that are waiting for super deals out there might just continue to find them long after the SSRs are stop being built. I would say for some people that want "certain" options or in some cases "LOW/ or NO OPTION" SSRs might start to have a very difficult time finding them ... and at the right price for them too.

Mark, You too make good points, especially about the cloices of options becoming scarcer. However, when the only two things I care about are price and 6 speed and for the right price a stinkin' fourspeed will do (for wife), then the options are basically freebies. I have color preferences but they all look pretty good. I cannot buy until March and that does not mean I will buy then. I am going to hold out for a new (HAS to be new!) '03 for very low 20's, new '04 for low 20's, '05 for mid 20's with auto or high 20's with 6 speed, or '06 for low 30's with auto or mid 30's with 6 speed. I have confidence. Also, I registered with eBay and am learning more and more thnx to this helpful forum.
