You can repair this very easily. You need to remove the long spear that runs from headlight to headlight. The chrome bow tie and gold bow tie both attach to it with speed nuts. if the speed nut has come off replace it, if the pin is broken you can use a small screw and washer to make the repair. It should become obvious once you get the spear off. The spear needs tender care coming off. It is held with three clips, two velcro strips and two screws you will find when you open the hood.
