Nice to see the Concept and Last SSR were still on display in October even though there were many changes from the display when we were tghere for WDC 2011.

I've read quite a few of those cars, even late models, GM bought used and restore for the museum, because nobody thought to save one when they were produced.

That is true, at least for the '60's and '70s cars. And every now and then (like just a few years ago), they auction a bunch off. Most of the restorations are done in-house at the technical center.

Thank you for posting,

Made me want to go back again. I was so cool to see. I know me and a few others were the last to leave the Heritage Center. On the way out we noticed the garage across the way had some cool looking stuff so we went over there to look through the gate. The director of operations came out and let us in so me and about four others got to see even more. Here is a link with my pictures from the Heritage center and the supporting garage.

A peek at Dusk Camaro and concept cars in GM Heritage Center garage - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums - Camaro5.com

I have pictures posted through out the whole thread so look through it all.

Wow, I love the wheels on the Corvette speedster. Do you know what the engine is in that carbon fiber Caddy? The one with the chrome header.

I enjoyed that, thank you
The only difference that I saw in the SSR concept was the location of the side mirrors.

Now that was awesome. Thanks so much for posting the video.
The concept SSR was cool but would really like to get my paws on that 70 El Camino or Malibu SS or............ and the list goes on forever!

I thought there used to be a link to the GM Heritage center on the site, but couldn't find it today. Anyway, I can easily lose hours while perusing that site. Lots of good info. Anyone who hasn't been to the site might be interested in the "Information Kits" downloads. Below is the link:
