Great idea.

Even better if they would offer the various available colors - some of us might buy several in that situation.

Also, the various pace and parade versions would probably sell very well.

I can see many of us having a collection of 15 or more of these.

Only if they will get me one in primer (so I can paint it like mine) and it comes with extra accessories like lower front spoiler, MPD style running boards, rear tailgate spoiler, 3g lower rear ground effects. They dont have to be installed just in the box as optional equipment.
Oh yeah, and custom wheels too.

Otherwise I've got six 1/18 scale maisto's on the shelf and a modified 1/10th scale new brite. along with a dozen 1/64 bad rides, and another dozen 1/24th scale models.

Marc, remember the 2 different special editions that were produced a few years back? Maybe someone could post a picture? I think Copcollector did one in pace car colors

Well, I recieved an e-mail from GMP Die Cast.
As it stands now, they do not intend to make an SSR.
SO, like so many things I've tried before, this was a total waste of time and effort.
