Since many of us have and are continuing to spend money accessorizing and personalizing our SSRs, I thought I would post some photos of some inexpensive accessories and add-ons that I have put on my SSR.
The thumbnail photos are as follows, left to right, listing the item and where I got it from:
1. Chevy bowtie red domed decal on engine cover insert - Advance Auto Parts
(distributed by: AutoArt, www.chroma-graphics.com)
2. "LS2" black vinyl decal letters set on tailgate - ebay, aczgraphix@yahoo.com
3. Chrome steel bullet door lock knobs (2) - Advance Auto Parts (part #6290623)
(distributed by: Custom Accessories, Inc. - part #16212)
4. Chrome steel bullet valve stem caps (2) - Advance Auto Parts (part #6120219)
(distributed by: Custom Accessories, Inc. - part #16218)
5. "Sticky Pad" on dashboard - Wal-Mart (Automotive Dept.)
(distributed by: www.handstands.com)
The above items range in price from about $3.50 to $15.00. The "LS2" decals were $15.00 for a set that included 4 decals, and I believe they are are available in other colors than black. The red domed Chevy bowtie decal was about $6.00, and came packaged with 2 decals. The chrome steel bullet door lock knobs, are as I say steel, not plastic like the stock ones, and they are a matching set to the chrome steel bullet valve stem caps. The "sticky pad" works GREAT, holding cell phone and glasses perfectly even during hard cornering and braking. There is also a larger version of the pad available at the website I listed above.

Looks good. Every little thing adds to the appearance & personalizing.
WHERE DID YOU GET THE SPOILER?
XSELER8:
(Guys/gals, don't you just love that user name! I wish I could have been that imaginative.)
Anyway, on the rear spoiler, I got it from fellow fanatic, "Whitewolf". PM him to check to see if he is again set up to providing them, and tell him I recommended you to him. He has recently relocated from Kentucky to Florida. I'm really pleased with the way mine looks and turned out.
If you get a rear spoiler for your SSR it might be interesting as to what color you should have it painted. Maybe you should take a poll, much like you did on the painting of the running boards?
I know spoilers are a personal taste thing, but I say GO FOR IT!!!
Where did you get the silver flames above the tailpipe? Everything looks great. You've added a lot of nice bling without breaking the bank.
woohoo:
Thanks! I got the 4"x4" chrome vinyl flame decals from:
Superior Graphics & Signs (732-625-0101, www.eDecals.com, and the style number is FLM270. Total cost with shipping was $23.45. The chrome mirror decals are 50% more than the others, and they have many, many different designs, sizes, and colors.
BTW, if anyone is interested, the exhaust tips are the Bosal Brospeed 5" dia. chrome steel tips, model 259-059. I think they look good, filing up the 7" diameter cutout better, and they DO improve the sound, in a noticebly good way, not objectionably.
For those interested, I've attached a photo of what the packaging looks like for the "Sticky Pad" for the dashboard that I got from the automotive department in Wal-Mart.
IMHO, works better that a sun visor clip for holding glasses/sunglasses, because it's more handy and won't crease the sun visors like clips will.
How about mud flaps from the clearance table at pepboys. $1.00 each
SSRJIM:
Wow! Man, that sure redefines what I was calling "inexpensive". Great, looks good. Do they really help keep debris off of the rear body panels in your opinion?
Thanks for adding this info. to this thread. If any of you have some nifty and relatively inexpensive accessories, please post the photos for us to see.

I have them on all four wheels. Yes they help a lot with the front being of largest benefit. I don't have running boards and use to pelt the rear fenders with gravel.
Here are yet some more photos of inexpensive add-ons.
The thumbnail photos are as follows, left to right, listing the item and where I got it from:
1. Chevy bowtie satin chrome domed decal overlay for steering wheel - ebay, domeddecals@cfl.rr.com
2. Small compass on steering column - Bell Automotive (part #12026-1A) -
Wal-Mart
3. Chrome steel acorn nuts w/rods (4) for license plate - Harley Davidson Store
4. Custom front air dam - "Mike in AZ" (SSR Fanatic Forum)
Mind you, the most expensive item above by far was was Mike in AZ's custom air dam, and that at only $30.00. I know many of you already have one of them, but let me go ahead a say it again....what a GREAT product and extremely good looking too! I'm posting this photo for those who don't have it yet. Come on now, does it not completely blow away that embarrasing rectangular piece of crap afterthought of a stock air dam? You gotta get one folks....well worth it! Heck for me, it's my front spoiler.
Yes, Furykay, Ricochet must have some slick stuff on his dashboard or something preventing a bond, because mine sticks real well on my dashboard. I bought another one for my girfriend's car and it sticks on her dashboard equally as well.
Focks:
That's a good idea and excellent place to put the sticky pad for those who don't have the gauge package.....that DOES NOT seem to work too well anyway.....but there are other threads on this forum for that discussion. I'm sure the sticky pad would adhere in that location even better than on top of the dashboard.
Here are a few more photos of an SSR decal letters package. I got this from BD Speedshop (603-888-4453, www.bdspeedshop.com), same place as the SSR logo sun visor decals.
Actually, the SSR decal letters package comes with 1-large set of letters for under the hood application, and 3-small sets of letters that you can put most anywhere, but intended for the 2 door sills and the rear sill. This entire package is very reasonably priced at $15.90 (plus shipping) for all 4 sets of letters. The large set for under the hood is obviously not near as nice as the aluminum letters set that fanatic, SSRcobra, is selling, but it still fits pretty well and improves the looks a lot for the money. (I probably will wind up with the aluminum ones myself.)
I put one of the small sets in the tailgate rear sill...fits real good. I already had the OEM GM aluminum door sills, so I did not need them for that application. Instead I put the second small set on the dash at the passenger side air bag. The third small set I messed up, so that one got tossed. How does that song go.....'cause 2 out of 3 ain't bad?
And since you did, it reminded me that I left off one of the very best and most important inexpensive accessories that I've added....your/the forum's waterfall badge. VERY cool addition for the money.
Plus, best part of it is that between your waterfall badge and the 2-1"x1" GM Performance Emblems on the outside, they all remind me and make me smile that I did not let my once almost uncontrollable passion to trade up for an '06 Final Production Run SSR, totally ruin the unbelievable deal that I got on my new, leftover '05....saving me what would have been $15,000 in trading up difference. I know I was temporarily nuts....and you don't know how close I was to doing the trade up anyway....until "Lady Common Sense" finally slapped me out of my stupor.
My SSR: SSR 04 – PEDIGREE SSR Chrome Wheels w/ 1st Aux. Gauge Package released for Production. #9684
Our Waterfall Badges are the Best Adition & Value Ever!

IMHO: I have to agree 100% with you on our Waterfall badges. If there is one easy thing that we can do... it is to add what I believe is some extra "value" & CLASS to our SSRs. It is one of the easiest, most reasonable and best addition any of us can do!
*Unless of course you are one of the lucky few hundred that owns an awesome "Final Production Run 2006" SSRs.
Being able to have 1 of 500 Officially blessed Genuine & Waterfall badges, certainly makes our SSRs a unique bred among the remaining 24,000 SSRs.

Thanks for showing the cargo pics. I have the soft bags/cargo organizer(still in boxes) and was wondering if all would fit. 1 Pic is worth a 1000 words.

XSELER8:
Thanks....posting photos is a great plus...as we all can tend to over verbalize something when a good photo usually says it all.
BTW, I agree on the black rear spoiler for your SSR as well. That would contrast very well with the sillver rear lid. Please post the photos when you get it on.
Forgive me for straying off this thread about accessories/add-ons.
I totally agree that most of us tend to over verbalize something when a good photo usually says it all. Example, just look at Doug Allen’s pictures from yesterday related to his new radiator. Now that speaks volumes on what GM should have done.
I found another style of "LS2" decal letters available on ebay tonight. The seller is the same one as I listed in Post #1 of this thread, aczgraphix@yahoo.com. I have attached a couple of photos, the first showing the other style I found tonight and the other showing the style I bought and have on my SSR tailgate (see photo in Post #1).
Either style of letters comes packaged with 3 sets of letters. They are available in chrome ($15.00, buy-it-now price plus $4.55 shipping) and many other colors ($12.00, buy-it-now price plus $4.55 shipping).
Guys/Gals:
This was my kind of weekend.....cruisin' with the top down and when not cruisin', thinking of what else I can add on. Man, this accessory stuff is addicting. But like Jim G. said in his e-book, the SSR is a blank canvas on which to do "your thing" if you so choose to do so.....I agree!
I've attached some photos of several chrome bolt-head caps that I added today under the hood.....9 bolt caps on each side of the engine compartment, 3 at the hood release area, and 2 at the air box. For me, all this stuff will look better coordinated when I get the exterior chrome package, being shipped to me tomorrow from fanatic, Frank Belk. Can't wait!
Like me, I'm sure many of you have dressed up your rides with this kind of stuff in the past, but for those who haven't I thought I would post the photos. Actually, these bolt caps, and where I have placed them, would show up even much better on the darker colored SSRs.
The photos pertaining to the chrome bolt caps are as follows left to right:
1. Left inside edge area (6-10mm on fender and 1-13mm, plus 2-13mm on hood).
2. Right inside edge area (6-10mm on fender and 1-13mm, plus 2-13mm on hood).
3. Hood release area (3-10mm)
4. Air box (2-license plate fastener caps/retainers)
5. Packaged products
The company that makes the chrome bolt caps is Spectre Industries, and the part numbers are #1428 for the 10mm bolt caps and #1408 for the 13mm bolt caps. The company that makes the license plate fastener chrome caps is Cruiser Accessories (www.cruiserframes.com) and the part number is #82030.
A company called "Mr. Gasket" also makes bolt caps very similar to the Spectre products. Both companies sell the bolt caps in various sizes and in chrome, blue, and red colors, I believe.
