My R short story:
Decided it had been long enough, time to buy an R. Nearest nice Slingshot (only pigment considered) with options desired was an hour or so away. Checked it out, Carfax clean, drove right, ran right, looked right, basic mechanical items checked, was getting out of the car to hit the bank. Buyer stated in ad and stuck with "cash only". Thought it was a bit strange as no one wants to travel with $$) these days but some folks...
Getting out I noticed what looked like half a cash register receipt that had slid down between the dash and windshield. A little curious since the truck was otherwise spotless so dug it out as the buyer said "thought I got all those". It was a time chit from bracket racing at the local drag strip. Owner admitted it was a regular thing and I'm guessing eventually found another buyer for the weekend racer. Next nearest nice Slingshot was a few hours away though I'm guessing worth the ride since there was no drag strip down the street lol
