Katzkin?

I have read some of the comments about Katzkins in some previous postings but never did see any pricing comments.
I checked with an Katzkin upholstery shop in Palm Desert yesterday. He quoted me aournd $1,200.00 for a two tone job and $800.00 if I just wanted to change the existing seat inserts to make it two tone.
Is this the going price that other members have paid?

Thanks,
BUBEAR

Mike,

Here's a link to the thread that I started on the 2-tone Katzkin seat covers. The price I paid was just as you were quoted, $1,200.00. They were going to have my sun visors reupholstered, and that's where the other $100 came from. As it turned out, I wound up getting the sun visors redone by Upholstery Unlimited in Clinton, IA.

The quality of the leather of the Katzkin seat covers is far superior to the OEM leather. If you are going to make a change, then I would do the entire seat covers, not just the inserts. Remember that the portion outside of the inserts, particularly on the driver's side takes the brunt of the wear and abuse. I believe that the better quality of the new leather will make the seat covers hold up much better, and longer.

Got My Katzkin Leather Seat Covers...OMG!
