My SSR: 2006 Red # 2238, 2005 Red #17046 (RIP) 2006 Pacific Blue #122857 06 black over silver 22946
Sold
I sold my# 22857 Pacific Blue to North Freeway Hyundia in Houston on May 6 .I finally realised that just keeping all 5 was not a good idea .Hope the person that buys it will take care of it
Great timing for finding this thread. I am doing the 2012 registration today so the VIN is sitting right in front of me. I am happy to be #380, 23227. It is def a 2SS and I have added running boards. From what I tracked down I am the 3rd owner.
Thank you Mike for all the work you do here and all the help you have given me getting the car put back together after I bought it!

Sorry, and thanks for checking Mike. I guess there's always the 1% chance I was wrong! Maybe even more!
I should have made better notes on what led me to believe it was a 2SS and I see it has already sold so I can't check the pictures.
It was a bank repo so possibly someone stripped some stuff out before the bank took it, likely boards &/or gauges. Nothing to do with 2SS/3SS but as far as other options I didn't see any sign of the C44 CTD DT3 E80 or VR4 or I would have noted them in my file.

Oops, kinda messed up that last thread. Just bought my 2nd SSR in a week today in Pac Blue sn#123819. If I am reading it right it is 2006 #434 of 532 that were made in Pac Blue and #46 of the 145 Final Production Run. It's 98th from the last Pac Blue ones made!! May look now at selling my #122701 with under 8000 miles on it if you guys know of someone that wants to buy one. Mark from Mt

Not a bad week.
Seeing as we're practically neighbors, a trip to Penticton in June to meet 30 or so other Fanatics might just be in order.
I have your itinerary all dialed in - I 2 to Whitefish, meet up with Jack and Carol, then to Lake Chelan to meet up with the Washington crew for the convoy up Highway 97. Should be a blast, and we're always short of Pac Blue SSRs.

The first 25 SSRs were handbuilt before production started, and spent several months doing various functions. Sig 23 was a press vehicle, featured in Motor Trend, Truck Trend, Car and Driver, and several major newspapers.
GM had a one-off guitar built for Sig 12, down to a matching VIN plate on the neck. I searched for that truck for 5 years, found it totally by a fluke on AutoTrader.
I'd recommend finding the hard cover book SSR An American Original by Gary Witzenberg. It has a lot of great information in it, including a chapter about the Signature Series.
All except Sig 1 were auctioned in the fall of 03. Selling prices from a high of $137850 to a low just over $50K. Average selling price was about $75K.
Sig 23 is now for sale at North Freeway Hyundai. Sig 12 now belongs to Red Cat.

Mark, you and I have talked for hours but I can tell it will take a while to get you up to date. HaHa! I thought I had told you everything I know! Anyway, it's a good thing because I love the inquisitivity. Too many sit back and wonder without asking.
Mind you, I can tell by the rate you are buying them you are a fast learner!
You have to get your questions in order the next time you call!
BTW, I really like this recommendation of Ray's (Flassh) I'd recommend finding the hard cover book SSR An American Original by Gary Witzenberg. It has a lot of great information in it, including a chapter about the Signature Series.
Every SSR owner should have this book if they care about and want to learn of the history of the SSR.
