Long time Lurker, 1st time poster...

Dear friends @SSRFanatic,

Over the past few months I've secretly been addicted to this site. And to be honest, have rejected buying from other manufacturers because their forum was not up-to-par with yours.

So now the time has come where I want my own R BADLY. I even know what I'd call it but first things first, a few questions...

1- A lot of R's on the market do not have the wood/ carpet combo (which is a must imho) for the trunk, can this be added easily & without too much $$$?

2- I've contacted an owner with a 06 - full gauge and chrome pakge - and about 8,000 miles for 34,500$ Is there room for maneuverability or is this the deal of the century?

The reason why I'm asking about the $ is because I plan on sending it straight to Mike in Az to get most of the items in his shop (including the straight pipes), get it painted a matte black color and get some after market rims for the ol' school look. And if that wasn't enough, I've got to ship it all the way to Dubai...

Your help is always appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best, B...

Surprised it came with the chrome package, but no carpet or wood accents in the cargo box! The price sounds good for an 2006 model.

Welcome aboard and good luck with your new R when you get it. My .02 on the price is that the price is not bad. You can try to bargain some more but if you like that particular SSR...buy it.
Mike AZ is a good guy to know & deal with. He will always help you out if he can. I heard his pipe system. It barks. It sounds awesome. Perfect for the SSR.

Welcome to the group...
Is this 06 a FPR (Final Production Run), the reason I ask is I personally wouldn't make the changes your thinking on a FPR but that's your choice. You can find 06's for alot less with low miles, you don't care what color because your going to repaint anyway..
Mike's the best for making your R realieable I have both fans, air spoiler. and rad. support... Don"t even look at the temp gauge anymore...
Have fun in your search for your R...

From my limited experience, Scott,

With the SSRs, when options and option packages are concerned . . . ANYTHING is possible.

and, by the way, Balrais . . . WELCOME from Southern Arizona!

Texas Howdy!! You can probably do better than that on price - or at least get some other prices to use as bargaining chips.

I think "BYERS" still has the carpet kit and lid cover available. Cost is around $1000 for kit including lid cover and light harness. About 3 hours to install.

If you time this right you can come to Phoenix, and drive it to texas next June for the SSR Rally. You'll get a chance to meet a lot of new friends, and then you can ship it to Dubai, from Houston.

Or you can do it that other way.

Seriously, welcome to the SSR Fanatic world, from north Texas!

Smile Big Thanks

This is Amazing!

I turn away for two seconds and already have heard from so many of you. Thank you all...

Just to correct my initial post as I may have mucked things up a bit. The deal with the comes with the carpet and wood package.

But a lot of the bargains I've seen on ebay and autotrader do not have that option so I was wondering if it were an easy install.

LT SSR, XSELER8, crazyrtr53, DOOPHUS, houtex & Focks thank you especially for your welcome message.

Blue Thunder; that was exactly the kind of info I was looking for.

I'd love the chance to come down and meet some of you, who knows, when I get my own R I might even bring it State-side if I get the chance. Once it goes to Mike (in Az) for the mods some of you will see it before I do.

Are the advantages of Mike's Hood Struts, Deck Strut, Transmission Pan and Diff Covers more form vs. function?

Apologies if this question portrays me as simpleton, I really don't know what they're for.

Welcome from Florida! As you can see I too am a fan of the flat black/retro wheel look (I also have a retro intake, and am getting ready to insyall side pipes for a "gasser" look). And I have heard Mike's pipes on a few SSRs, all I can say is WOW!

I'm thinking the hood struts on an '06 are fine as is (unless you're looking for chrome). These struts are for '03-'04's which did NOT come with hood struts.
Mike's deck struts will open the deck more that 1/4 inch.

I agree with WOW. What Mike makes is for function but the form is show quality. So you would not need the struts on the 06 hood but they would look nice. THe trans pan and Diff cover for performance issues if I rember correctly in my reading. But again, they are good lookers as well.

Come visit Sunny So Cal some day, we are always looking for a reason to

Re; sounding like a simpleton, that does not happen here. We are all less knowledgeable in some areas and the others help us out. That is what this family is all about. No stupid questions, excepth those not asked.
