I agree. It totally changes the feel and handling of the ssr. I also put the lc32 brace on at the same time.

It is, in my opinion, the most "Bang for the Buck".

Florida Chapter, I have 7 in stock.

All of Mike's stuff is great. By any chance did you install the TB crossbrace first? And if so how would you compare one to the other. I used the TB crossbrace on two SSRs it made a hugh improvement with one but the other was so so. I would guess that when used with Mike's stiffening plate that they work together well.

The TB crossbrace made the most improvement on my automatic when the top was down. Not much change with the top up. The other was a 6-speed and the change was minor when the top was down but it did remove most of the bump steer in both cases. They would also take the on-ramps faster. The synergistic effect of using Mike's plate, TB crossbrace and a new set of tires must be significant.

Extremely happy with the stiffening plate also. Also installed new sway bars at the same time. Will adding tb brace make that much difference after what i have already done?

I have all of the above, every little bit helps. Given how un-expensive it is for the TB brace why not just do it?

Cool All of the pieces

I started at the front on mine. I installed a metal brace between the frame rails that was part of the license plate mounting kit and that also attaches to the front facia which eliminated the jiggling fog lamps and gave me a plate mount without drilling through the facia. Just behind that I installed Mike's metal radiator support and a stainless air dam, behind that I installed the LC32kit and Mike's stiffening plate, behind that I installed the trailblazer brace. Then I added ADDCO sway bars front and rear. It definately tightend her up. If you think about it, that is a lot of additional cross bracing between the frame rails. I think if you go much beyond this stuff you do like Blackie and others did and start doing major suspension mods. All of this is pretty much bolt on and relatively easy to do. I admit I had the LC32 stuff and Mike's plate installed, my old back can't take wrenching and pulling to get high torque values laying on my back under the car anymore. The only complaint I have is those dang squeaky sway bar bushings. I have the grease fittings, but I haven't gotten around to drilling the mounting brackets, tapping and then screwing them in. banghead A warmer weather project I think.

I found that I didn't even have to tap the holes. I just drilled the recommended size hole and wrenched them right in. They still squeaked for a bit afterward, but I haven't heard them since.
