Ordered Mine yesterday from Eric, and added a rear spoiler. This will be the start of the build up to add bling, parts, and speed to the old Smokin' SSR. I will be adding these parts, as well as some "SS" stripes, like Dick Belleville's and Kennesaw Phils, only in reverse! Riccochet Silver on on Smokin Asphalt. Then some parts from Gary Petersen, in FLA.
Any otherSmokin' Asphalt's out there with Silver stripes? I hope not!

Looks really good,Eric,it took time, but it appears to be perfect fitting! Very nice!

These are much easier to fit up than the f/g version that you have Hal. You know, if you feel like changing it I will take care of you
It fits very, very well. Being much more flexible allows it to attach over the opening alot easier. I have some tweaks I am going to incorperate in the trimming of the part that should make it even easier. I will post pics later today and talk about the install. Right now I have some hoods to finish

Finally
No matter what it cost to install the chin spoiler it will be worth it.
I think mine from ASC was gold plated twice by the time I finally got it installed. I will be working at Wal-Mart at nights to pay for it. Eric where were you when I needed you?

Installation
Here is a few shots of the install. The first pic shows how we went in from the underside and glued with windshield urethane for further reinforcement. The second shot shows the lower panel screwed in place. The third shot shows how I did the glue (again, windshield urethane ) on the lower panel before putting it in place. The lower panel will arrive in bare aluminum. I reccomend that it be sanded with 120 grit with a DA sander and then painted. I used PPG DP 90LF epoxy primer and applied two coats. You can see that the outer bolts need a small notch dremeled in for access to the screw with a 1/8 allen bit. I had to turn the bit with a 1/4 in wrench. If you have Mike's lower support this will be a lot easier as there is no webbing on his steel lower core support. Forth shot shows how it is screwed into the wheel lip of the bumper cover. Fifth shot shows how I put a piece of 3/4 in tape below the fog lamp on both sides. The spoiler wound up sitting about 3/16 in below the tape. I helps to get it more even with this reference point. I had one person on both sides holding the spoiler in place while I pulled the tape backing out from the middle to the ends applying pressure as I pulled. The mesh is also held on with windshield urethane Jack.

Afew more thoughts on the install
We will be shipping out some spoiler soon so I wanted to share a couple more thoughts on installation untill I get a official set of directions made up.
When drilling into the wheel lip use a 1/16 drill for the pilot hole. Then enlarge the hole in the spoiler only to 3/16 to allow the 1/8 screw to have some room for expansion and contraction of the spoiler and also not to split the plastic.
All the spoiler will come with the backside coated with Dupont Variprime (615 and 615s , a self etching primer) Glueing to abs plastic can get tricky and my initial thoughts were to supply adhesion promotor wipes. Variprime will stick to abs even if it is not sanded, its adhesion is that good. Windshield uethane sticks to Variprime but not directly to abs. So basically you will have a surface coated with a paint product that will accept the two way tape and urethane glue with no problem. Putting some color on the backside over toward the wheelwell would look nice also. In retrospect, I would of painted the backside of this spoiler black while painting the octogan mesh except I installed the mesh afterwards on this one. All spoilers will come with the mesh preinstalled.

We have shipped out a few from the initial batch. These were test run parts that turned out good. We are waiting now for our order of plastic for 100 of these to come in. It is expected around the 27th of this month. The inital parts were done with .187 starting thickness. All parts afterwards will be done with .200 starting thickness. My thermoformer informed me today that the trimming fixture is complete. I have no idea what it looks like. I am going to try to get a picture of it tomorrow so I can show you..
Eric,
Congratulations on pulling it off.
As a vacformer, I didn't see any possibility of doing it. I see now how it was possible and again I congratulate you on your perseverance. I know how nervous you must have been during this process.
