couple of questions. is there supposed to be a lil window on the top right of the mirror that shows a compass and maybe something else. i see a lil button on it to turn something on but it doesnt work
what is the lil box in the roof storage compartment area?
My SSR: 04 UV, BOD 2-18-04, SN 5550, lots of polished billet, Superchips, K&N - Previous 03 and 05 owner
Hi,
No, no compass or exterior temp. Which button are you trying to use on the mirror? The owners manual talks about the buttons and their use, maybe it is for the mood lighting? The reason they didn't install the normal GM compass in these trucks is the moving top, it causes issues with the compass calibration. I do know of some people that installed one though and haven't heard of issues.
The trunk lid storage was on most but not all SSR's. Some think it was a storage area for the factory windbreak bag, others for some tools that might have been included at some future time. Nothing was put there from the factory though, so don't worry, your not missing anything. Some owners have put small tool sets in the area or small LCD's.
Sounds like you're on your way to making it yours, enjoy the ride.
Welcome to the SSR Fanatics. You will find a great deal about you SSR here and you are doing it right by asking question. Next big event out west is Laughlin last weekend in January check out the post.

Sounds like the drive from Sachse to Lubbock was worth it for an SSR with all the extras. I'll leave it to others answer your questions but here's a thread with interesting SSR info.Did you know... My favorite was finding out that once the top starts moving you can roll the tires "at low speed", good for stop and go traffic and if you like how cool the SSR top action looks it's even better when in motion.

Welcome from Oregon
Hi CJ,
Welcome from Oregon! If you have not already done so already, you should request a build sheet. This will give you a complete list of options and features for your SSR. You are in a great area as there are many friendly DFW owners with 'immense' knowledge of the R who like to get together and enjoy frequent adventures!

i looked under the R and found out the Cats are clamped on so i am taking those off this weekend and seeing if they are real or fake. they will be changed since i got the 02 sensors deleted on my Trifecta tune i installed while signing the paperwork at the dealers.
they guy said i was going to offer you aftermarket warranty till i saw you install the tune.
wit the 02 sensors deleted i want to gut the cats and have them wide open so that will happen soon if they already arent
if anyone knows about this R from lubbock i would appreciante a heads up. any more tips on this truck bring them on!
