Smile new 2004 ssr

i have a chance to buy a new 2004 ssr truck from a dealer, it is red with all the factory options, what would be a fair price for it/. It has a sticker of 38995.00. It has been stored in a heated showroom since it came to the dealer.

Are you certain about that sticker price, domesticparts?

What is the VIN# and the mileage?? Tires probably have flat spots if he didn't move it at all.

P/P

Peace

Good Morning....Domesticparts!

I bought an 04 (new w/441 miles on it) in June of 07. The window sticker price with destination charges was $45,635.00. It had the 1SB Equip. Grp, running boards, cargo compartment trim w/wood, floor mats, and front license plate frame.

The dealer started at $35K and took a 2000 2500 GMC 4x4 crew cab with matching fiberglass topper and 91k miles in on trade. My net was $19K.

The miles on the GMC were all highway, not a lot of towing, and was as clean as any truck with half the miles and age.

I hope this helps..........Good Luck!

Did the NADAguides thing.... ballparked the milage at 5000. They say $27,500 for clean retail. Of course, all things are realitive when it comes to an SSR and if it's what you want!!

If I could afford it, I'd have one of every color, and year!!!

Is this truck in NE PA? If it is... I know this truck and the dealer.. a very small one outside of Wilkes-Barre...

The truck is new... less than 10 miles on it and still has the factory wrapping on it. Its nice... we considered this SSR but wanted a 05 or 06 with the 6.0 engine. But this is really nice... I would try to talk him down to $33K at the most... no matter what, once you drive off the showroom with it, it's only worth about $28K on the open market today.... but the thought of new is very nice. Let me know if this is the truck! It's a real find!

Clean, like new, low mileage 04's have been regularly selling for mid twenties. If you want one and he won't deal, there are lots of them for sale, new is nice, but once you get it home new is gone.

Question The seals?

After sitting for almost 4 years w/ only 10 miles on it? Be careful!

That was also my concern on the one I saw here in PA... nice... new and sitting for 3+ years. Tires would be out of round (assuming they didn't move it) and the engine might have some rust build up... but since it has been inside in a heated showroom for the entire time... I don't think there would be much to worry about.

It was odd to see a new one just sitting there after so long... but this was a small backwoods dealer with maybe 20 cars on his lot. :-) His inventory book was hand written and pages of grease and notes. It was almost like stepping back 50 years in terms of a car dealership.
