Did you find an animal embedded in the air intake and then call KEY news? If that's the case; that wasn't gas you were smelling
I'm guessing it was "D".

The switch I got from you is still in the glove box. Holding it in case it fails out in the middle of nowhere.
My R is still under warranty.

On a side note ....The eletric hatch opening is going to work.A eight inch ram/motor will open to 16". Has a safty on it incase somthing get stuck the motor will reverse and stop. Has three hight settings.
..Do you want to open the frt doors too? You will have to have a secound remote to operate the hatch and door and still need the factory one for the lock & unlock.

YOU GOT ME LOST HERE ALL I WANT TO DO IS OPEN THE TAILGATE "FIRST " WITHOUT OPENING THE BED LID. ...IF I WANT THAT OPEN, THEN I'D PRESS THE REMOTE LIKE WE DO NOW.

NO You will have to have a secound remote to operate the hatch and door and still need the factory one for the lock & unlock.
