We met Ken and Shirley at the Route 66 Rally last week. They MAY be in the early 80's, yet they participated like the rest of us young folks. Their yellow R is called Plainjane. Nice couple. GMpartsguy in Houston is about your age also. Wayne

I think Dicktator, Dick Bellville of Florida told us in Flagstaff that he will turn 76 soon.

I will be, I hope, 76 on Oct 3rd, 2011.

Yes, 1935, year of the start of Social Security. I have card 001, only kidding.

Just remember, it isn't the age, it's the mileage!!

Old?

I will be 76 on September 28th. It's been a great life, just keeps getting better! It's kind of bittersweet like this quote:

“Sometimes I am so happy that it frightens me. So much happiness cannot go on forever.”
Wilbur Smith in “Men of Men”

So far, Quest turning 76 on Sept 28th is the oldest by 5 days.

Musicman asked the question - maybe he'll track the aging amongst us in his first post.

Quest is not the oldest member in the Forum, I know of several members that are older.

That said, those members may find it a "dubious honor", and not wish to post their age. All members are young at heart, if they weren't, they wouldn't show up for rallies and meets, drive and love their SSR's.

All SSR owners, young and old are what makes this Forum great!

A better question would be, who is the youngest SSR owner, and what prompted you to buy one?

And at 11:30 PM last Thursday, long after most members were in bed at the Flagstaff Rally, you showed me your very cool, and very original mods you've done to your truck, in the parking lot at Little America.

I'll say again what I told you that night, no other members around, you have made great mods to your truck Jack, like none I've ever seen !

Well done.
