At $3+ a gallon for gas ... don't think I would try dealing with So Cal Freeways just to see it until after it completed.

And the Gas Companies have taken a lesson from ENRON and the Merchant Power Producers of the DeRegulation Fiasco and discovered that they can create a shortage and increase the price by shutting down refineries for maintenance, needed or not, when it is time to change over from summer to winter gas and vice versa.
