Last month we drove the Sun Truck down to Seaside, OR for the Muscle & Sand Cruise-In and show. The girls got bored looking at hot rods and took off to explore the local thrift shops.
Next thing I know my wife has purchased this little black gem and given it to me for our 41st anniversary. It's a model of the original 2000 concept SSR. The hood and doors open (not the top or tonneau) and the wheels turn when you turn the steering wheel. Very detailed inside too. In fact the hood emblem plate pops right off in your hand if your not careful just like the real deal.
Naturally I had to have it painted and striped to match the Sun Truck. I thought you might be interested in seeing the differences between the concept and production three years later. Notice the mirror placement, the gas tank filler location, the rear end treatment, different trailer hitch, etc.
Thanks to All....Here are a couple of extra pix. We'll be cruzin' all over the Northwest as weather permits. It's raining right now, but we expect it to quit by April of next year.
