A pint-sized tech session….

A pint-sized tech session…. Cuz it was just ME getting a couple things done to the truck… my gracious host and installer….Tommyb!!! Things to accomplish… install crossbar, Mike in AZ main fan & aux fan, and to figure out how my bra went on!

Crossbar was a cinch to install… made a huge difference!!! I found when I lowered my truck the ride was much softer… this tightened it right up!!

First time Tommyb installed Mike’s fans…Easily done in an hour & half… between us laughing and working!.... Aux fan was straight forward to install...No man over man action here!!! Tommy did it all himself (sorry Tony!!! No more excuses)

Got stuck in stop & go traffic on the way home…. Blazing hot outside, air conditioner on 3… and the temp stayed at 210!!!

TommyB, you are wonderful!!! Thanks a Million!!! I owe ya! Thank your Mom for the muffins, they were great! Had great fun talking with your Dad!!!

Mike in AZ… thanks for the amazing products! I feel much more comfortable driving in the desert for two day to Durango with the fans installed!!

Hey, thanks for the pictures and information. I have the aux fan and tranny cooler and air dam sitting on the counter. Found out the main fan is not working. I will be installing it when we return from sunny California.

Thumbs up

Congrats Linda on getting a replacement on the OEM fan...you already know how well it works I'm hearing pros/cons on the crossmember - some say it makes a difference and others don't notice any difference. Have a bra as well, but never wear it guess its about time I learn to put one on

I would not have gone to Durango without replacing the fan with Mike's.... I just didn't want to take that chance... two days driving across the desert!!! I wanted that insurance!

I noticed a huge difference... but I think that is because I had modified the springs & the sway bar. When I lowered the truck ... it felt more like a car... for lack of a better description.... there was more soft bounce when driving it. (slightly reminiscent of an old Cadillac) The crossbar took that away... in my opinion... Maybe if you haven't done the mods I've done, it won't make as much difference. For me... totally worked!

Personally, hate bras on cars/trucks... but I was getting so much rock damage, figured I had to do something. Funny when the package came... my Dad received... asked what it was... "Its my BRA!" He looked at me... then looked at this big box... I know he couldn't quite make heads or tails of it... I know he wanted to open it but wouldn't dare... Let him stew for a couple of mins & finally told him it was for my truck!

Should have told Dad it will hold the SSR nipples from bouncing all over the highway.

OK...I'm going to my room.

I'm no expert but I have noticed that when they're hot, they come off easier.

you forget...I did springs and sways before you did and kept trying to get you to take the plunge...but don't think the ride is soft...definitely not as smooth as the 'Stang or LS...still drives like a truck. Guess I'll have to take a ride in another before I make up my mind.
