Pioneer Nav System

Bought myself an Xmas present, a Pioneer radio/MP3 player/Nav system for my 04 SSR. After looking at the shop manual and the dash removal I decided to have it installed. I was impressed with the install until I found a nice dent in my fender. Its never easy!!

Been thinking about a NAV system, leaning toward a portable one so we can switch it around to all our vehicles, the dent sounds like a good reason to go with the portable!

How about giving up your center console storage area for a 6 CD Changer with NAV/DVD in the dash??

Not in mine there isn't because of the subwoofers behind the seats!

Tunez Upgrade....

You also mentioned in another thread that your steering wheel controls are non-functional with the new head unit, but that head unit has a remote control. Well the solution is the Peripheral PESWIX. Install it too and you will have full use of your steering controls again. Works great on mine.

I have an 06 with the 6 disc changer and was thinking of doing a big install. After reading and hearing of the problems I left well enough alone and got a Garmin Nuvi 350. It works great for navigation and it is very compact so I can put it in my pocket when I leave the car somewhere. Also thought about XM radio but also passed on that idea. Yes, I am a coward.
