So it was . I am not sure if I interpretted your note correctly but seems you know/knew Rick Mears, not just have lowriding in common. If you know the VIN or have easy access to it I would like to make note in the registry, sold or not. The VIN may already be there but even if it is I can attach his name to the vehicle history.

Oops, just remembered I had a conversation with Jeff (Blue Thunder) about this also.

CASH: Yes Rick is a friend, his personal SSR was black; I am not sure if the factory did some other unit in his name, he never mentioned that to me so it is probably like you said a unit Gil got. I doubt very much that Rick still has the Vin # as I mentioned before, he sold it in early 06; he offered it to me at great price but I really wanted the yellow.

Marc: please help me I have SN#114422 build date 09/01/04. I would like to know what number it is. when fanatics say # of # I can't make it come out with production figures. Hope you can understand what i'm trying to say as I was figureing #335 of 7196 and don't think that is correct. Thanks in advance for your help. George W.

Hi gwilli, I can probably help with this.
The VIN sequence for regular productionn SSR's ends with #1GCES14H06B1"24112",
meaning there were 24112 regular production SSR's.
Yours is #14422 of 24112 built and as yours is a , and there were a lot of built,
this would be the main number you are concerned with.
The "1" preceding 14422 means it is a "Regular Production" SSR.
When you see # of #, they refer to a more limited series in the regular production, most often
in the two tones. For example, there were 532 built, or 32 over etcetera.

The #7196 is total for US builds but the total 2005 builds are 7279 including Canadian builds.
You could say of all 2005's built yours is #335 of 7279.

First serial number in the Final Production Run was 23287.

Total build 826, carrying the FPR badge.

If you go back and edit your message to eliminate all the empty space, it would be easier to read, Lots of scrolling required to get to the bottom of it.

Just happened to turn on the computer at a motel in Vancouver. I'd usually be rolling earlier, but just got in from the Eastern timezone at 3 AM Pacific.
