I was lurking on the Vette Forum again... I guess a few of you made an impression as they're still talkin' about SSR's. ( and HotRodGirl!) Above is a link to a custom SSR build taking place. Thought maybe those who don't visit over there might like to see it.

Looks like an R w/an old truck grill stuck on it.
The retro models look kool ( ssr, mustang, camaro, challenger).....
But a retro-retro SSR. I'm out.
Guess it loses something in the translation.

I like it, reminds me of the Dream Truck renderings from last year. Randy and his crew @ HR&CS are great!!! I had lunch w/ him almost 2 years and rec'd a shop tour. The place is amazing! If your in the area, check it out.
Wait for the finished product before making a decision. You may be surprised to find that you like it
My SSR: 05 6/6 Aqua Blurr BOD 2/2/05 Eric's Hood scoop, running boards, Lonnies 59 taillamps, MikeAZ exhaust
Custom build
Man I think that looks absatively posiloutely cool as all H***. I like the front end alot more than our retro look style. Tho lately it wouldn't matter as I need a cattle gaurd or police push grill on the front of CK. I seem to attract ID10T's who like to run stop signs and then stop abrubtly in front of me Maybe I need to install an airbag for the front end

They have some awesome custom Camaro and Firebird projects. And the bolt together metal rooms are pretty neat. They also have a flamed SSR that I don't remember seeing before.

Just heard about this forum this morning. It so happens that I'm the guy doing this build. It has been a real challenge so far, but a lot of fun.
The project is a long way beyond what is shown on the HRCS web site. I have had it completely assembled and outside to take a good look.
It is indeed all original '53 sheet metal with a number of one off parts made to allow mounting of the panels. If you guys have any questions concerning the build, I will stop by here and try to answer them.
I have no clue as to the mirror comment. No one has seen the truck with mirrors on other than myself and a handfull of other employees of the shop.
I appreciate your interest in this project and welcome comments about it. Be assured that we are building a really Bitchin' ride. Some things will remain a bit of a secret untill it is unveiled, so you guys can speculate as to what is happening underneath that wild looking skin.
Again thanks for the interest, and I'll check back soon.

Scott.... A Very COOL project... loved that you are checking in here... Welcome!!!
Scott, you are a master craftsman... and a glutton for punishment.
That's going to be one of the coolest custom trucks, ever, ranking right up there with the R&D dream truck and the Ala Kart.
