SSR Fanatical Song "Woohoo" Written by Non Other Then Our CrossCheckFreak
For our last years Christmas Gift Exchange Steve (Crosscheckfreak) wrote and sang a song about his gift exchange person "Woohoo" about her SSR "Betsy Blue".
When Steve visited Detroit recently to pay a bet he lost he gave me two copies of the CD and one with a little history of how and who sang the "Woohoo's" in the background (vocals).
It's a very catchy tune and you can't help but to sing along with it. Taking my grandson to soccer practice today and upon starting the the Woohoo's CD was in......it starts with the roar of the engine and ends with the squealing of the tires This tune has been stuck in my head since his visit. There is a section on the CD where he talks about the folks that did the Woohoo's in the background.....my grandson laughed after everyone he heard. Especially loving Focks & Mr. Vettegirl!! When Steve gets to my name he says something along the way of "From the hometown of our SSR's and the woman who is going to make me dress up in drags cause my hockey-team stinks.....HotRodGirl"
My grandson said "Grandma what's drags" ? I told him when we get home I'll show him a picture of someone that dresses in drags....that being you Stevie boy
Steve really did a fabulous job with this song.....I even played it in MV while I was waxing my at 10:30 P.M.
I know there is a link to it somewhere on the site and if you haven't heard it you really must take the time to do so
My grandson spent the last 6 hrs singing parts of this song and laughing his butt off at the "WooHoo" parts
Hat's off to Steve for a song that I really enjoy listening to.....WooHoo you are so lucky!!!

Can't find the link to it......Maybe we can get Steve to post the words to it too This song should be played at least once at SSR Events It's even danceable
IF you see me comin' down the road you can be sure Woohoo is in the CD player. I have a copy in the CD player downstairs, upstairs and in my truck. Bob kinda' drew the line at playing in his Silverado all the time, so that's the only CD player we have that's doesn't have Woohoo playing on it most of the time. I guess someday I'll get tired of it but hasn't happened yet!! Steve made this fanatic a very happy camper. I am so proud of my song and of my friend for sharing his talents with us.
Nice job on the song but I was totally surprised that there wasn't a train sound in it. Keep waiting to have my computer blow up from the sound and lights coming at me.

Oh no...I just noticed something. Hey, Jan...do your copies of the lyrics have the 'school's out' verse printed twice? The one on the site does, and the latest copies I just made do to. It's not supposed to be there the second time. I hate screwing up! (although, I should be used to it by now).

Well, I'm limiting the full versions with artwork and printing to a lucky 13 (7 for the backing woohooers, 5 for woohoo (one of which was framed), and 1 for me (and I haven't even assembled that one yet).
If I sold any, I feel it would cheapen the whole purpose.
You are more than welcome to download the songs, and burn a copy yourself. For those of you that don't know how, I'm sure we can walk you through the process...it's not that hard. You can even download the insert art and print it.
Another option I can look into, is getting them mass produced, and then donating the profits to a charity (I would choose "Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic's NJ Unit" for half, and Jan can choose the other half). It's Jan's song, so if she's OK with that, after I get settled in Texas, I'll do some research on costs. Then we can start a thread to see how much interest there will be.
