Cool SSR to the Shop

Well it looks like I am going to need another Ignition Switch?

Stalls when I first crank and engine light on and several screwy elect problems going on.

I had cooling problems on the way and during the Niagara Falls Run, Got home fine but since the Main fan has completely died Thanks to Mike in AZ's aux pusher fan I'm ok.

Also discovered the OBD connector is dead

Have made appointment with my Dealer Friday.

56K miles on the clock. (still under warrenty)

Well, good to hear that you still have a warranty to work with.

I'm still less than 1/2 the miles you have! (23k)

So you think the ignition switch could cause your truck not to cool properly? hmmm

i have had some cooling issues, and wonder if I should change that out, too.?

You are amazing Jim, an expert photographer, great with computer editing skills and now “time management skills”.

How many people could … let alone even think of planning their brake downs to all happen at the same time. One trip for all repair work, that’s excellent time management Jim.

You’re the best big guy.

Hmm...interesting...stalls out when you try and start the thing eh?? I remember my moms car had that issue once and that was due to a really really dirty air filter...how long has it been since you changed the air filter?

Try starting it without the air filter attached...worth a shot...just don't drive with it off.

Just changed out the filter at 40k. I looked at it again and ok.

I had this same exact start stall and then switch stopped working at all but you could wiggle it and it would start. check engine light on all the time. Shifter knob could not be depressed to shift gears...had the original switch replaced at 32K looks like I need it again at 56K..

Fortunately, you will get the "redesign" this time. Almost guaranteed you got the original type the first time.

Thumbs up Update

To the Dealer 8am today,

OBDII connector dead........fixed ( Blown Assy 12vdc fuse)

Engine cooling fan dead.......Part on order 3 to 5 days ( 55k miles on original fan )

Desided to bring my baby home, Mikes Aux fan saved me! Thanks!

Engine Light on........Same codes in computer......fixed (new ignition switch second one in 23K miles)

Out by 10:30 Am

Overall I am happy I didn't think they would have a fan in stock.
