Struts from Mike in AZ

I was having to lift the rear deck lid with my finger nails. Ordered the replacement Struts from Mike and installed them today(10 min job)WOW
What a difference, all the way up. No more finger nails.

Thanks Mike

Although Mike does sell some great products he produced himself, lets not forget that he is a US reseller for Steve Fenners struts manufactured in Canada.

For those that do not know, Steves user name here is "support tech" and he developed these many years ago in his company, LS Technologies in Canada. Steves products can be viewed at Lift Support Technologies Gas Springs - Custom to Spring Lift and he can develop many custom lifts for any project.

Mike does a great job getting us these items a little easier across the border. Thanks to both!

I recently placed an order for the Hood Strut kit. (also the air dam, and the SSR tire valve covers.)

If you haven't ordered this kit yet - stop being dumb and get to the website right now!

It's not hard to install, but it does take some liquid courage to DRILL into the hood (i used a bic pen that i cut to length - worked like a champ). I'd also never used a Rivet tool - and yes i did it with a hand rivet gun, no air required for this !

I'd read that the passenger side strut was enough to hold the hood while you install the driver side. This wasn't true for me, and the hood slammed shut. To be fair, it didn't say that in the instructions, so i probably shouldn't have done it.

Overall, if i didn't have to make my first car payment soon i'd order everything else on Mike's site. Next up is the radiator support, since i just don't trust plastic that close to NJ potholes.

Keep up the good work!

-Jim

The struts are to hold the hood open, rather than that awful prop rod, aren't they? Wouldn't they hold the hood open, Blackie?

Blackie,

"To whom it may concern" - - - - that would be me.

This is the first that I have heard about any issue with the struts on your truck. If you have had a strut lose pressure, I will ship you a free replacement. If you have added weight to the rear deck lid with a spoiler, I will have a custom set of struts pressurized for you. Having stuff out there that does not meet my performance expectations is unacceptable. Please let me know if you have had a strut go soft or if you have added weight to the deck lid. We need to get your lid lifting correctly.

My position has been very clear on this forum for years...... If there is EVER an issue with any of my products, I need to be the first person to know about it. If you are dissatisfied with anything I have sent you, please return it right away and I will happily refund your money. This is a core value position.

If something stops performing in the standard manufacturers warranty period (90 days to 1 year, depending on what it is), I will replace it with a new one and try to get my money back from the supplier under their warranty. If it lets you down after the warranty period, I have a very, very liberal replacement policy....... some products will get replaced when they wear out after as much as 5 years and 50,000 miles.

Just to be sure that we are on the same page....... I am assuming that you are still satisfied with the set of Hood Struts that I shipped you.

Regards,

Mike

My 2 cents is based on what I have seen, bought, installed and used. All Mikey's stuff exceeds needed specs...in fact probably over engineered. The tranny cooler hardware was tested to over 100psi when less than 20psi are needed for example. I had a sticker start to come lose and Mikey not only replaced it but installed it also so it would look just right, and this was only a sticker! I did not ask for the replacement he just did it before I could stop him. My 100% confidence is based on his 100% backing of all his products.

Hmmmm.....

How to word this? I'll just get to the point..... I had my foot enter up from the "backside" and exit out my mouth. PLAIN & SIMPLE! I had a bad strut as Steve found out when he checked them out at Flagstaff. They were both replaced with a NEW set. We started to talk and he is a very entertaining person. Our conversations were about this and that and then about what some "A..HOLE" posted on the forum.

Me being me.... I told him that I was that "A..HOLE" he said to me "No your not" I said "Yes, I am" he still treated me no different from our first engagement at the Hotel, when "ACROB" interduced us! I WAS WAY WRONG IN MY POST Everyone at Flagstaff had every right to give me the cold sholder The best of the best was Mrs. Moro's reply to me as I was interduced to her.... I'm sorry you had to be there to hear it.... as the one's that were there to hear it, it was short and sweet and said to me by a "LADY".

Ya know I should have followed what I preach at work..... Think about two seconds before you say something ....Or in my case, before I posted it What's funny here..... Is short of buying a spare tire kit from "MIKE" I've boughten EVERYTHING ELSE and have installed it on my rig with no troubles and have been 100% happy with everything that he has sent to my doorstep. I blew it on the struts I should have given him a call and gone from there!
