Looks like Black Beauty couldn't make it a month without issue #3. Today, running errands, the water temp gauge, which has always stayed right at 210, worked its way up and down, approaching 260. It was hot here, though not more than usual. It was a lot more humid though.
When I came out from lunch, there was some water under the vehicle. Didn't look like antifreeze, so maybe it was just a/c condensation.
Does this sound like a fan going out? I'll try it again in the morning and see if the problem is repeatable.

Same thing happened to me the other day noticing a larger then normal puddle of water. It was hot and humid here too. I took Mike in AZ advise a while ago and keep the air on which helps in controlling the rising temp .... sometimes even when the top is down. I used to climb to the 260 mark but haven't even come close since leaving the air in the #1-3 position.............
Dan: The AC switch always worked for me to bring the temp down. When/if you replace the fan, you may want to go with Mike in AZ's version. I doubt it will affect the warranty. My wife just put a new cooling fan in her mini after 5 years, which is pretty normal in most cars so with the mileage you have, it just may be time for a new fan.

I had Mike's fan from AZ put on my 05 SSR. It was overheating and the dealer told there was nothing wrong with it. I asked Mike about the warranty thing and was told it didn't void the warranty. Talk with Mike - he is incredibly helpful and since his fan has been installed have had no overheating issues.
