It's funny you posted this yesterday. My wife and I were having a conversation with my sister last night about what happened in the 70's and 80s, as far as intrest rates and tv shows, and I told her "I guess we just never heard about it". I remember thinking about not staying in one place and buying a house, or having frinds for more than 4 years at a time (locally), but I didn't think at all about home loans or unenployment or many of the things that come up in daily american life. From 1974 to 1994 we moved from Montana to Las Vegas and on to Mountain Home Idaho, then on to Lakenheath England, then on to Marquette Michigan and then Fort Worth Tx. then to Kadena Japan with a 2 year side trip to Saudi Arabia and Egypt, then on to Spokane Wa. and finally back home to Helena Mt. where it took almost two years to finally move back to Las Vegas. Most people just wanted to know about how many combat missions I had flown or what was the worst place to live, or the worst food to eat, but it never came up in conversation about what we missed in the daily lives of the friends we left behind so often. I am a Vet who now has an incredible number of friends due to this funny looking little yellow truck

and I couldn't be happier.
