Thank you so much .

New member , just picked up my 04 SSR. The first thing I did was open the trunk to load tools ... and lock my key in the bed. DUMS. The dealer has ordered my owners manual and had no clue. I had already logged into your forum while dong research and thank goodness a search showed me the way. I don't think I would have found that button without you help. First day and just doing some detailing. Looking forward to learning much more. Great forum thx Randayn.

Welcome to the forum and to the Fanatics What did you buy and where are you from? If you post the last five digits to your vin # someone will be able to give you its history and a build date.

Congrats on the purchase. There is a way to open the bed with the "top tool" that is not advertised much(don't want the bad guys to know). If you're interested in knowing shout out someone here can send you a PM with instructions and also explain what a top tool is if your SSR didn't come with one.

Exclamation Good for you

Glad to see the research you did got you out of a jam. Lots of neubies dont bother with the library and they just throw random questions to the forum when a quick Search will do the job. Dont you just hate that?

Welcome

Thanks for the welcome.

Now a ? Please where can I find a manual release tool ? I bought this car used and it seems the PO took every thing that was not bolted down. I need an owners manual, I tried search but can not find a download. The dealer said he will order one but in the meantime I would really like to understand the workings of the car. Could the tool be stashed somewhere in the car ? Where do you keep yours? I read that it will also serve to enter the stow compartment. How is that? Thanks. Has anyone fabricated the release tool ?

I know how you feel, but I also get frustrated typing in a search item and getting tons of responses that have nothing to do with what I want. The search function on this forum leaves a lot to be desired.
