Living in Michigan......top is down every chance I get I like the look of both but I love the sun and the smell of the air in spring and summer

Top Down......SSR body apears to look longer

Top Up..........SSR body looks wider

Heads turn either way

I thought I was the only one that could produce 200% Top up and Top down. I even run with the Top down when it rains if I,m in the country. At 80 + miles per hour you don't even need your windshield wipers on.

...

For exterior looks (mean) top up all the time.

Possibly at night in the dark, under clear sky with stars out, in the heat of August, the top might go down where no one can see it. Or if Brenda has been eating beans.

For me the roof line is what makes the truck.

I think REBEL and I are the only ones who prefer top up almost exclusively.

99% top up
01% top down

Top down unless conditions call for it to be up. Rain, cold, wind, too hot, etc.

Yellow Bear's top is always down until it rains. If she's covered in dew in the mornings and I have time to squeegee, top goes down, too. Never too cold or too hot for top down. I didn't get her to just leave the top UP....
Purple Hawk is a different story. Subject to hair-doo......

Interesting question, Steemin!

Considering the near perfect weather conditions here in Southern Arizona . . . except for Bath Days, DOOPHUS is 100% TOP DOWN and never goes anywhere with his top up!

General rule:
Outside temp 60 F + = top down
Oustide temp under 60 or rain = top up

exceptions:
once in awhile top down in the rain (if speed is high when rain starts)
sometimes top down with heat on.
Top up if female passenger request for hair reasons.

Top Up

The top is up most of the time. Unless it's really nice outisde, then the top comes down.

Raymie,
Your the first respondent that keeps the top up most the time.
Until about 3 years ago all my toys had to be verts.
It finally dawned on me that rarely in Northern Indiana is the weather perfect for top down cruising. And I really don't care for the look or road noise of a vert with the top up. Consequently I have not owned a convertible for more than 3 years. I have to admit that I do miss the top down feeling when the conditions are ideal.
It seems to me that the SSR with its retractable hardtop offers the best of both worlds...
The reasons to buy an SSR are starting to add up.
