Two tone SSR help?

Just kicking around the idea of painting the roof of my SSR cream or silver.
My wife said no way!
I love old two tone cars and trucks.
Please help with any info or photos to show her how good a SSR would look.

Draw one up yourself.

I posted a sketch in the gallery under concepts & drawings a while back for everyone to use for testing/ desiging paint schemes. Just print it out and color it any way you want.

If you don't tell her where you got the sketch, she might be impressed with what you've created.

I have a picture of an Ultra Violet that is yellow on the bottom and looks great but I don't remember where I got it. I have it printed and could scan it for you if you wanted to see that combo.

This is a poor scan, this scanner I have at work is crap but it will give you an idea. I can do a better one from home if you need it.

It turned out better than I thought it would. I wanted to go with yellow before I saw the ultra violet and this is the best of both worlds.

Hey Keith,

As usual you are able to come up with some great photos again... I sure do like them. Might like to share that link if you find it again...

PS The teeth grill is from an earlier model Corvette.

That toothed grill reminds me of the 38 buicks, like the one on the front cover of the Steven King Novel I am currently reading. Wicked man!

Found it. Looks like they are around $20 per grill tooth and then you need a bunch of other goodies to make the transformation into a real SSR Monster with TEETH!!! Get your dental floss ready!

I definitely plan on two-toning mine. Was going to buy a silver and paint the top half black or midnight blue, but I ended up buying a black one - probably will be silver on the bottom in this case, but I've seen other colors at the bottom of two-tone cars with black on top, so we'll see.

It looks AWESOME in 2 colors, which is why GM is hinting at doing it, I'm sure.

Nope, price difference was so great with the deal I got, I took an '04. Still dig it very much though, not *too* much in the way of compromise by taking the 04, IMHO.

Can I re-up this thread and ask for mockups of two-tone jobs with black on top and a few colors on the bottom? Metallics like copper, silver-green, steel blue, that kind of thing? I have no photo software robust enough to do such a thing (and thus, not enough photo edit experience even if I had the tools).
