Were you lucky on 07-07-07

I wasn't, BUT I was lucky on 07-08-07

On my way back from VB to NJ I saw 4 SSRs in Delaware.

1) Yellow with the decals "Le Pace II". Was parked in a Hardee's lot. I stopped ordered some food then picked who someone in the restaurant that I thought might own it and asked him. Got it right the first pick. I talked to the gentleman for more than 15 mins (the whole time the people behind the counter were yelling #15 your order is ready...) Gave him the website info and he seemed likely to join use.

2) Black. Headed other direction

3) Pacific Blue. I caught up to this SSR after seeing it way up the road. I pulled up beside them and waited for them to look over, but they were concentrating on the road. So I hit the gas and then pulled in front of them. Just as I was doing that, they put their turn signal on to get off the next exit. I had 1 second to decide.......and I decide to put on my turn signal and jump off the same exit. When there was a spot to pull over, I did. And so did the PB. An older lady jumped out of the driver seat and almost ran up to me. She gave me a great big hug and a kiss. And as her husband was getting out of the passenger side, she asked me if I was a Fanatic.....I had just met Kathjim from Fort Lauderdale. They joined this site June 1st of this year....

4) Red. Headed other direction.

5) My son (14) calls me a little later. Says he's stuck in traffic with my mom in Chicago. There is a purple SSR right next to him. I said quick jump out and talk to them! He said maybe next time.

So that's my lucky day story and I'm sticking to it.

I watched two of the grandkids for my daughter Saturday morning, and all my granddaughter wanted was her grandpa!

That made me feel pretty lucky.

What a day.

I stepped in a yellow jacket nest while working in my yard. And I do mean 'in it.'

Despite being covered from the waist down by the angry creatures, I received only one sting. Just one, on my hand.

I am not sure if that was luck or a miracle. I would bet on the latter.

OUCH, Harbor . . .

Many many years ago, I did the same thing while hanging out at our cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Gory details not necessary but it involved a few days in the hospital while I was in a coma and, definitely, LOTS OF PAIN AND AGONY because every hateful Yellow Jacket in the "gaggle" (literally thousands) attacked my poor little body.

Bottom line . . . YOU WERE EXTREMELY LUCKY!

Curt

I was very Lucky. I was in the air flying to Hawaii, and I made it safely. Hope I have the same luck going the other way.

50th Wedding Anniversary Party on 7-7-07

Our kids gave us a big party to celebrate being married 50 years on 7-5-07, renewed our vows and the whole bit! Yes I gave up my independance the day after we celebrate our nation's independance.

Many friends and relatives showed up...we are truly blessed.

Two things on 07/07/07

One of our bowling couples decided to finally tie the kot on 07/07/07.

Had a Hawian lua style wedding and reception (with the exception of the buried pig)

Anyway it was a good time. Some Jimmy Buffet playing and a bit of Limbo for some fun.

Elsewhere in Wisconsin (Chipawa falls) there was a little boy born. Time is unknown, but the little fella weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 ozs.
