I'm already done with this guy - over 100% markup on parts you can still purchase from GM.
He's done the same thing Domesticparts did a few years back, tried to buy up all the parts he can find and charge double or more prices. That's not helping anybody but himself.
There are a lot of other resources out there folks, please don't plop down double the price because you think it's the only part out there.

Wild Bill has to recover the 120K he paid for 24111 somehow. He was a very motivated buyer - just wouldn't quit.
He also purchased the full size foam 1/2 SSR for about $5000.
Only $60 for a book anyone can buy from Amazon for less than $40.
I agree with finding alternative sources first, but sowhere along the way, his parts may come in handy. SSRFanatics have a lot more opportunities and resources than an SSR owner who doesn't know we exist.

Apparently they have had some 30 SSR's (don't quote me on the #) through their facility, yet for reasons unknown they seem to feel those VIN's should be kept secret. Schram, Cleveland, Spalding, Stricker and others have been so helpful in this regard, as they really appreciate that we care enough about the SSR to keep track of them.
This guy doesn't seem to get that, although he professes to be a fan of the SSR.
Wild Bill's won't be on my recommended parts source list in the Deceased SSR thread.
BTW, I just sent them an email on the new link. Previous phone and email efforts were a lost cause.

Ah, I'm Just Truckin' With Ya!
I for one agree the prices are high but I see what he has done with his money and it makes me even more secure about my purchase of the SSR. He paid $120 grand for one!!!!! And is paying good prices for parts with the knowledge/hope that the rarity and great design of the truck will only increase with age. This man saw an opportunity with the Jags and became wealthy by taking a risk and buying parts when no one wanted them and now he sees the same thing with the SSR.
He has no other interests in cars but Jags and SSR's. I think that puts us in very good company.. Of course he has competition now for parts and this forum will keep him in check by spreading the knowledge and may be forced to lower his prices eventually.....BUT I see it as a good sign that our trucks will increase in value in the future.
I remember several years ago when I had the vette and a man came up and was talking about a 58 vette he had. Said it was mint and rare but sold it recently. I asked why.........and said, "Well, I needed a new windshield washer motor and it cost me 4 grand for it....so I sold it the next week." I asked him how much?... to which he laughed and said...a lot. And I said that is why the washer motor cost 4 grand....duh....

I on the other hand see him as a raider. Of course he sees opportunity with a limited production halo vehicle, that's good business.
What's not good business is professing to be an SSR enthusiast, then buying up as much new OEM stock as he can, hoping to corner the market on SSR parts in order to double or triple the price. That is , he and those like him are the reason I started the Parts Exchange a few years ago.
There are two ways to become wealthy, honorably and dishonorably. He has chosen the latter.
But body shops can't be dicking around, they want parts now, plus they make a percentage.
On one hand, I'm glad somebody may have the little bits & pieces salvors won't be bothered with, on the other hand, I see this leading to a lot more totals by the insurance companies.
