...... just changed the wiper blades on the 05 with oem delco blades. What I want to know is who is the (donkey's rear end) that came up with the squirt'rs
for this vehicle? A classic piece of plastic crap (afterthought ) - and why don't the new blades come with new squirt'rs: mad
Thanks for the heads-up. When I purchase my first set of replacement blades I'll know what to expect......but, of course......I've never used my blades yet because the SSR has never been in the rain!
My SSR: 03 Black Auto, Custom Flames, Windsupressor,Hard Saddle Bags, Bed Rail, 1SB, K&N FIPK, VIN 0718
Good luck finding replacement blades for the 04. I have an 03 and can't find replacement blades. Going to upgrade to the 05/06 wiper arms, different style & blades are available.
I'm not knowing where you are looking for these replacement blades Mr.T but it's the same blade used on all of the SSr's (03'-06') Mind you it's just the replacement blade by it's self, you will have to install them on your old holders. Heck, I went to Chase last week and bought two sets of blades. I think I paid right around $12.00 for a set and they were in stock. Here's the GM parts numbers....
15220314
15220273
I was told they are a instock item and will not disappear any time soon
My SSR: 04 Smoken Asphalt, HP tuned, FlowMasters, TransGo Shift kit, 411 Gears, Mikes Aux Fan
I believe there is a SB to change the arm and blade as a kit. I did it my 04 sometime ago. This change got away from the washer on the blade and now it is on the arm.
I had my blades changed out at a dealer ( don't use them any more) and they changed out the arm mounted squirters because "the old ones were sun rotted" now they only spray the upper 1/2 of the windshield.
Any info on finding ones that spray DOWN as well as UP?
I dropped by our local Auto Zone and the guy sold me 20" refills, cut one inch off of one and installed them in the parking lot..no charge.
(I bought him a Diet Coke)
Keeping a clean windshield and cleaning the wipers with Windex may extend their life but like anything else eventually time takes its toll and they deteriorate.
I thought after 7 years that I'd better replace them.
